December 8th, 2021 – TCS # 754

Ciao and Buon Natale, My Readers! A Fascinating Greeting, Right?! This Greeting is actually Very Unique and Honestly, Kind of a Romantic Sounding Greeting.

It means “Merry Christmas” in Italian, Imagine Someone saying that is a Very Romantic Way.

This Greeting does Give a Hint as to What This Newsletter is about.

So, This December and Christmas Holiday Season, We are going to go take a Trip to Two Different Christmases and Then, Perhaps a More-Interactive Christmas Newsletter.

So, This Year, I am going to do a Mini-Series about What would be an Adventure using The Following Question. What would be Your Ideal Christmas Trip with Your Family Included, using One or Two (or Both!) Categories

So, Let’s Set It Up! The Two Categories are:

A Cold-Place Christmas (like Finland or Sweden, Mountainous Countries and/or Mountainous Cities)

Or

A Warm-Place Christmas (Beach, Cruise, or Somewhere Tropical)

Send in Yours via Emailing Me at thechristianvillespirit@gmail.com or in The Comments of This Post on Facebook.

So, Part 2 of My Christmas Adventure Series, We start in a Warm-Place Christmas. Now, A “Warm”-Place Christmas to Someone who pictures Christmas to be a Walking in a Winter Wonderland Time of The Year, seems a bit Insane. But, Believe Me, People do it. Now, Of Course, Some People like those in Australia, They have No Choice because It is Technically Summer around North America or Northern Hemisphere’s Christmas Time. Other People who may not like The Idea of Wintery Christmas or Just Something Different, They choose to go Somewhere Warm. For My Choice in The Warm-Christmas Category, I would go to Italia (I) or Simply put. Italy. This is Where We begin about Warm-Place Christmas, Italian Adventure!

So, Let’s Preface This Topic before We start. As an Adult, The Idea of going to “Imaginationland”, is more often thought as Childish and Sometimes, In certain Context. It is. However, When You put it into Things like Real Life Dreams, It can be beneficial. Most People when They think of “Imaginationland”, They think of Unicorns, Imaginary Friends, and so on. However, I think a Little differently. So, Why am I telling you this? Well, I would be lying if I did not say that It has been a Crazy Year in This Year of The Oxen of 2021. But, We deserve a little Magic! And, I am going to give it to You! So, I have written something similar to This in My “Ideal Christmas” Newsletter (Refer to it) if You have not read it! So, This will be sort of like that, but in a Different Way. Now, Believe me, There is No Such Thing as a “Perfect Christmas” and No Offense but, Anyone who tries usually Fails. Now, Yes, I realize that sounds a little Harsh but, It is True. The Reason of course, is Not-as-Harsh. Because People try too hard for “Perfect Christmas”. Perfect Gift (There is such a thing. It is from The Heart! Personally Made!); Perfect Christmas Tree (Real One, 5 Inches is Perfect for Me); and, Perfect Family (That is Out of Your Control, Believe Me.). The Point of that is that Christmas is What You make it.

So, Follow me into The Not-Perfect-but-Sweetest-Christmas that You have ever had. Now, Baring in Mind that This is not Everyone’s Vision but, This is Mine. Let’s Take a Ride for Christmas!

Picture with Me, An Architectual Beauty of an Italian House on The Coast. Picture This House on a Cliff, overlooking The Blue Ocean with The Song “Buon Natale” by Nat King Cole playing in The Background. “Somewhere across The Sea, In Sunny Italy...”. My Mom, My Brother, and Myself along Each of Our Romantic Persons are Hanging out on the Veranda. I’m sitting looking towards The Ocean admiring The Beauty of The Water below. My Brother is his Goofy Self and Is Curious about Where We are. The Music, The Artwork, and The Food of The Country are The Two Things that He is The Most Interested in on This Trip. My Mom is Laughing because of My Brother being Goofy while He is trying to learn The Italian Accent but, More Importantly the Different Hand Motions and What They mean.  and, Of Course, We listen to The Rush of The Ocean. In Between Time at The House, We are Busy exploring The Beautiful Amalfi Coast (Costa Di Amalfi) with It’s Cobblestone Streets and Church Bells ring in The Distance. We Might walk by and say Boun Natale! to Pappa Natale (Translating to “Father Christmas”. The Gift bringer of Italy). Otherwise known as “Italian Santa Claus”. After Some Time on The Costi Di Amalfi, We go up to Roma, to spend a Few Days. While in Roma, While Trying to Find our way to Fontana di Trevi (Trevi Fountain) after coming from Piazza Venezia We might have gotten Lost because We were admiring The Presepe’s (Prea-Sep-Pee) or An Italian Nativity Scene. I have heard that The Romans do Presepe’s Very Well. It is an Art Work, Apparently. Anyway, We meet Some Locals, A Couple whose Tradition to Make a Wish for The Coming New Year at The Fontana Di Trevi at Christmas, were on Their Way there. They were Nice to enough to walk with us to Where we were going. Apparently, They are American Expats who moved to Italy a few Years ago. I think We hit it off with Them and They invited us to Their Friends’ House for an Italian Grandma Sized Meal for The Evening. I am told that Italians will do this sometimes where They will invite you to Their House and Their Big Family Dinners! Think of it as Italian Hospitality!

Anyway, The Food is just Amazing. The Best Grandma Italian Food in All of Central Italy! This Grandma has Family all over Italy! The Dessert, “Grandma Natale”, We can call her, made the Best Panettone. After All those Adventures, We go back to The Home-Away-From-Home and We sit by The Fire and Share in All of The Excitement of This Awesome Trip to Italia (I) and We can not wait to do it again. The Fontana Di Trevi said so! All in All, It will be a Christmas for The Record Books! All in all, We all have a “Dream Christmas” in Our Hearts. It is a Perfect Christmas but, instead of Pressurized, It is so much better and so simple!

Thanks for Reading The Christianville Spirit. Buon Natale to and from Italy!
