The Christianville Spirit: Real Talk about Poop Rerun

The Christianville Spirit
The Spirit that Brings Hope
August 19th, 2020-TCS # 701

Let’s Get Real, My Readers! Wow! That was an Interesting Greeting! This Week’s Newsletter is going to to Very Real. You See, Every Now and Then, I feel that I need to be Real with You about a Certain Topic, Sometimes Emotionally and Sometimes Just a Deep Topic that can be Triggering (a Modern Way of Saying “Upsetting”). I feel that More often than Not, These Topics are Often Needed, sometimes for Myself and Other Times, for My Awesome PTLS Family Members that I feel would benefit for The Topic at Hand. Now, Of Course, The Topic that I have going to Take on, I have Written about before. Therefore, I am going to Re-Share a Newsletter about The Triggering Topic of..Poop. Read on, If You would like. There is a Disclaimer Warning below before Any Details are Mentioned.

This Newsletter was Originally Written on February 20th of 2019 (Refer to Newsletter 628)

Oh Boy, Readers! I have got a Treat for You This Week! So, In My Newsletter in General, I try to avoid certain Topics whether They are Triggering (The Modern Way of Saying “Upsetting”) or Even Graphic. For An Example, When I wrote a Newsletter about Future Married Life, I had to put a Rating on It. Refer to The “Real Talk about Relationships” Newsletter, if You want to. So, with that Said, I am going to talk about a Topic that is Common among Younger PTLSers but, There is More of an Instance than Even I realize. In a Way, I am taking My Newsletter this week to Place it has never been.
Now, For The Reason that this Newsletter may be Graphic, I am making this Newsletter, Rated R because of The Topic that I am going to mention about That are Concerning to Me. Disclaimer Here
**This is a Rated R Newsletter, there for If You don’t want to hear about This Topic, Stop Now!**
So, This is One of Those Topics that Make You think, TMI! (Too Much Information!). So, Let’s Jump In! So, Everyone  has What I call a Trigger Word. Meaning that Uttering or Hearing This Word, Disgusts Us. For Me, It is Gak and Slime, referring to The Gross Gooey Substances. For Most People, I would Imagine that It is Moist. But, to Some PTLSers, Their Trigger Word or in This Case, Trigger Moment would be Pooping. Yes, Really Folks! So, to be Fair, Who wouldn’t be Afraid of a Brown Mushy (Sometime Slime-y) Log coming out Your Behind?! My Mom and I were discussing about This the other day about How PTLSers (Yes, including Myself) feel about Pooping. Now, Let’s bear in Mind that Pooping is as Natural as Breathing.  It is a Part of Life. We know that Constipation is a real Part of PTLS. Now, For Younger PTLSers, If They are afraid of Pooping, It could be for Many Reasons including It coming Out slowly; Not coming out at all; or Painful coming out. For Me, I am not scared to Poop but, If I know that I have a Big “Log” coming, It makes me a Bit Nervous. Now, If I have a Big “Log”, When It starts coming out, I feel that It is Painful, I try to Push harder to hurry it up. Then, I get anxious and try to squeeze to stop the pain, just making it worse. So, It is like Push Hard, Squeeze and Try to cut it but I figure that I might as well just Push It through. For little Children, They do not understand what is happening, and just know It Hurts. They can not tell you what the feeling is, So they just stop and hold it. Then it is Really Constipated. Because of the pain or the feeling of it being Gooey (a Sensory problem), Some of the PTLSers may not want to eat because it means they have to Poop, and it hurts, or it feels really gooey to Them. On The Complete Opposite Side of This, After I have gone though an Event that causes Anxiety, I have what I call an “Intestinal Emptying”, meaning that A lot of The Poop that would otherwise come out slowly or Be Constipated, would all come out at One Time. It would not come out Really Fast, but, It would come out first as a “Log” and then, The Rest is just Paste-y looking.

It actually feels Good after Having One of those because I know that My Intestines are not Full anymore. There are occasions when I become too Constipated and it is not comfortable. Imagine a small child who can not tell you this feeling. When I am anxious, then My Body wants to get rid of Everything. This is a bad feeling too because Your Child might not like that feeling. Oh, It is hard to do something that Is Normal. Everyone Poops! It is hard for us PTLSers when It Is a Sensory thing and We do not like it. This is Really hard for Me to talk about, but I Thought it would help some Parents understand their Child and this Normal thing everyone does. All in All, I hope This Newsletter helps You even though It was Too Much Information at Times!

Thanks for Reading The Christianville Spirit.  Be Honest about Your Poop!

The Christianville Spirit: My 700th Newsletter (Reader's Choice II)

The Christianville Spirit
The Spirit that Brings Hope
August 12th, 2020- TCS # 700

Happy New Age to Me, My Readers! As The Date of This Newsletter, I am a Year Older! I am now 33 Years Old! Yes, I can’t believe it either! It will be An Awesome Year because 33 is a Good Number and If You add One more 3, It turns out to be, 333 which is God’s Number, known as “The Trinity”, and Of Course, In Spiritual Form, It means “Cosmic Yes!”. So, Here’s to My “Trinity Year”!
Anyway, My Readers, It is The Moment that We have been waiting for, My 700th Newsletter! Yes, Ladies and Gents, 700 Newsletters that I have written! So, I am just as surprised as You are! I am amazed that It is My 700th Newsletter! Historically speaking, When I started Writing This Newsletter, It was not Every Wednesday, it was more like Every Other Week and then, on Odd Days like Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday to name a few. I finally chose Wednesday to make it a routine and It stuck. I figured also that Nothing was going on that day and It was a Perfect Time of The Week.  I have been Writing Every Wednesday Faithfully with a Few Breaks or Vacations since then. So, Before We get to the Subject of The 700th Newsletter, Let’s see what I wrote about in Past, what I now call “Milestone Newsletters”. The Following are references and Newsletter Titles.
  • 100th Newsletter: “Playlist of Your Life” Series; Popi (April 2008)
  • 200th Newsletter: “All Thanks to You” Series; My Readers (May 2010)
  • 300th Newsletter: Launch of My “I Believe In Love” Campaign (May 2012)
  • 400th Newsletter: “Happiness....Simplified” Series: What is Happiness to Me (May 2014)
  • 500th Newsletter: My Dreamscape- Now (June 2016)
  • 600th Newsletter: Thank You for An Amazing Childhood, Mr. Jeff! (July 2018)

and, That brings us to Now! So, As You know from Last Week’s Newsletter, I was going to Let You, My Readers choose What I was going to write about for This Newsletter. I wanted to put a Poll on My Website but, I figured that It would be Better to put it on My Facebook. Just like Last Time, I gave Several Options of The Following: My View of Something; PTLS Related; An Adventure/Trip; A Life Event; or An Accomplishment. The Results actually surprised me! It was The Following Vote Tallies. Starting with The Least Amount of Votes. A Family Member of Ours added One, A Guilty Pleasure; 3 Votes for PTLS Related; 13 Votes for An Adventure/Trip; and Finally, 16 Votes for An Accomplishment. That was actually The Same Result that The First Reader’s Choice Newsletter. Well, My Readers said so! Alrighty, My Readers! Second Times, The Charm! An Accomplishment! Ya Know, Come to Think of It. This Newsletter, My 700th Newsletter is an Accomplishment in Itself. Seriously, When I started writing This Newsletter, The Christianville Spirit, I thought It was a Good Idea to send out a Weekly Email, because that is what It was at The Time, sort of. Never would I have ever thought that I would make it to 700 Newsletters. Actually, When I started Writing It, I just put The Newsletter Name and a Tagline, that was it. No Dates and No Counting Them. Even when I did Start Counting My Newsletters, My Writing Looked a lot Different than It does Now. Here is An Example, I wrote the Following Newsletter on April 1st of 2009. It shows What My Newsletter used to look like as well How My Newsletter started.
For those of you who have been reading The Christianville Spirit for a while have seen all the changes of this newsletter. But, however there are people who have been reading this since the beginning. So, I thought I would give you a view of the history of a newsletter called The Christianville Spirit. The Christianville Spirit or TCS for short started in Christianville, TN in November of 2005 as an email to My Mom and my friend Karleen about the 1st Christian’s Best Friends’ Festival. My Mom told me I should start writing a newsletter about my view on life because my view on life and the world is a unique view. One time I was writing stuff about The City of Christianville and I wanted a newspaper name for The Metro Area so, the word “Spirit” seamed like a good name to symbolize the Christianville Area. On Wednesday, October 4, 2006 was the first official “Christianville Spirit” and it was about my best friend Steven’s “10 Weeks of Awesome Behavior” back when he was in The Group Home. The Christianville Spirit has been known for its slogans. The slogans have changed over the years so, Here are a list of slogans and how long they lasted.
· The first slogan was “Serving The Christianville Metro Area” that lasted from the first Christianville Spirit to December 29, 2006.
· The 2nd slogan was “Christianville Metro Area’s Delight” which lasted one newsletter in January 2007
· The 3rd slogan was “Christianville’s #1 Newspaper” which lasted one newsletter on January 4, 2007
· The 4th slogan was “The Spirit of Christianville” which lasted January 9, 2007-December 27, 2007
· The 5th slogan was “The Spirit that touches Lives” which lasted January 3, 2008-December 29, 2008
· The 6th and current slogan is “The Spirit that touches Your Life” which lasts January 2009-the end of the year
Also, The Christianville Spirit has it’s share of websites it was posted on. The first website was 360.yahoo.com/mapkid2 which was my own personal Yahoo 360 site and after that it moved to it’s current site, thechristianvillespirit.blogspot.com. another The Christianville Spirit has been known for is it’s inspirational lines at the end of the newsletter, the first inspirational line was “ Have a Spiritful Day” in the 14th newsletter. The next thing my newsletter has been known for is its series. The first TCS Series was “Christianville Metro Highlight” which about my friends and family. In the series, I got the biggest reaction to my newsletter is the “Julie Smith-Centeno Edition” of that series. Before I started writing full articles I wrote about what was going on in my life and what was going on in Christianville, those sections of the newsletter were known the “Personal News” and Christianville News” section and Another section change was the addition of the “C. Metro Commentary”. Finally, In case your wondering what the “TCS # 143” heading means, that shows how many newsletters I’ve written since the 1st in October of 2006. all in all, it’s a lot of fun to write these newsletters each week.

So, That is One Example of What My Newsletter used to look like. Actually, That is what My Newsletter looked like in My Early Days of Writing on My Website. It is Another Story when You see how I wrote when I was writing My Newsletter as an Email. That is Actually how It started. It started as a Simple Email to a Few Friends and Family, and After I while, My Mom convinced me that I should put it more in Blog Form and Do It not just for a Little Hobby but, Eventually, a Little Job where I can get Paid to write. I am Very Dedicated about Writing Every Wednesday and If I don’t write on Wednesday, I will write on Tuesday or Thursday. Of Course, If I am Sick, Taking a Week Off, or Having My Mandatory Vacation Time, I will let everyone know. Now, Yes, I still do The Emails Every Week as well as Having My Newsletter on My Website. And, Facebook, of course. So, Here is What My First Official Newsletter looked like. Be Sure to Read The Background Story before Reading The Original. It will provide Context to It.   http://thechristianvillespirit.blogspot.com/2016/10/the-christianville-spirit-happy-10th.html

Brooke, TN-
Yes, C. Metro Area the title is nice and SUPER TRUE. sooo, here’s the 411. Christian Centeno ran into Mrs. Vandeneykel at a Wal-Mart in Brooke and Mrs. Vandeneykel gave him excellent news. his best friend, Steven Vandeneykel has actually made it 10 weeks of Excellent Behavior which this reporter would say is a pretty staggering record for him!! that is awesomely amazing and us of the staff of The Christianville Spirit couldn’t believe that this was even happening down in San Marcos where he is at. so, i’m sure he is about as happy to hear about it even though he’s already known. but, now at least Christian Centeno and the WHOLE Christianville Metro Area now knows. sooo, keep saying your prayers for him and not to mention his buddy, tigger.
and, hopefully. he will make it to next step will be a place CLOSER to home! if anyone wants to chant for him here’s a good one. LETS GO STEVEN or GO STEVEN GO.
pick which ever one C. Metro Area that u would like and we’ll puts signs in throughout the C. Metro Area!!

Actually, That Reminds me and Makes me realize that This Year, in November will be My 15th Year of Writing! November 1st of 2005, I started Writing but, They were in Email Style but, that eventually turned into My Official First Newsletter. I guess You can say that The Newsletter in Email that I wrote in November was sort of like a Practice Writing and The One that I wrote in October of 2006 was My First Official Newsletter. So, Join Me and Celebrate My Big Accomplishment, My 700th Newsletter. All in all, Here’s a New Age Year and My 700th Newsletter!

Thanks for Reading The Christianville Spirit. 700 Thank You's to All who have gotten me This Far!

The Christianville Spirit: My Readers Choice I

The Christianville Spirit
The Spirit that Brings Hope
August 5th, 2020-TCS # 699

Well, My Reader! We have Reached The End. The End of My 600-Series of Newsletters! I am so Happy! The Number 6, at least to Me is not a Good Number and There were Several Not-So-Great Numbers in The 600-Series. But, Finally, We get to move Onward! For Those of You that may not know, I am a Newsletter away from My 700th Newsletter! Funny Enough, It happens to be My Birthday Next Week where I will be Turning 33! Yes, I can not believe it either. Great numbers!! Come to Think of it, I will be 33 when I write The 700th Newsletter! Two Milestones in One Week!
So, 700 Newsletters! Can You Believe It?! It is Milestone that each time I hit The 100 Series Mark, I can not believe that I have made it that Far.
That must take a lot of Writing along with All The Times that I have taken off, Subjects Written about, and Life Events happening.
So, Let’s Celebrate! So, What shall I write about for My Pre-Lead into My 700th Newsletter? hmm...Lots of Choices! I have done some good lead ins. Among them, Here they are, along with References...
  • Pre-100th Newsletter: “Playlist of Your Life Series” (April 2008)
  • Pre-200th Newsletter: “All Thanks to You Series”: PTLS Families (May 2010)
  • Pre-300th Newsletter: “About The Girl of My Dreams” (May 2012)
  • Pre-400th Newsletter: “Happiness...Simplified Series” (April 2014)
  • Pre-500th Newsletter: “My Dreamscape-Before” (June 2016)
  • Pre-600th Newsletter: “Your Soul Place” (June 2018)
Which brings us to Now. So, How do I top This? Well, For The Pre-600th Newsletter, I am going to do a Rerun with a Reason. Now, Don’t Groan. It is going to a Big One! So, Some Context here. Back in 2013, I decided to let My Readers choose what I was going to write about, on Facebook. I gave Several Options of The Following, My View of Something; PTLS Related; An Adventure/Trip; A Life Event; or An Accomplishment. Back in 2013, My Readers chose An Accomplishment. I am going to Rerun the Orginal. But, That is What I am going to for My 700th Newsletter is do it Again! Let My Readers choose What I write about for The Big 700th Newsletter! Until Then, Enjoy The Original! And, I see You after I turn 33 Years Old!

This Newsletter was Originally written on June 19th of 2013 (Refer to Newsletter 356)

So, My Readers, I decide to do something different for This Week’s Newsletter. You See, On Facebook, I decided that instead giving My Readers topics that don’t always interest them or that they don’t want to hear about, I decided to give you, My Readers, the power to choose what I write. My Choices I came up with were My View on Something, PTLS Related, An Adventure/Trip, A Life Event and An Accomplishment. The Winner, to My Surprise, was An Accomplishment. So, That is what I am writing this week, Thanks to the input of My Readers. Enjoy!
So, To spotlight, one accomplishment would be hard to pick, so I will do a couple of them. In My Head Anyway, This Accomplishment is a big one (although there are bigger). You See, when I was in High School in 10th Grade, The Schedule gave me a sort-of “Job Study Period.”  It turned out that there wasn’t enough to keep me busy. So, one day the Vice Principal assigned me to a very important job, what was known as “Parking Lot Duty.” So, The Vice Principal took me around The Teacher Parking Lot and said, “These Green (Keystone Looking) Tags represent The Teachers and Those 3 white painted lines for Visitors” and he told me that any person who had one of those “Keystone Looking” Tags that parked in the wrong place that I had my clipboard that I had to write the License Plate number. After a couple trial runs, I got the hang of it and I was used to doing “Parking Lot Duty” at the time. Considering that I am Routine Oriented and Am Big On Rules, I was excited about getting to do it everyday. Eventually, though, it caught up with me and My Own Teachers would tell me not to write them up because they took the wrong car to School and forgot their Tag. They helped by describing where the car was and what color. But, to me, I was on The Rules, that and by the time I got out there, I would forget what they told me and without realizing it, I wrote them up anyway. At the end of The School Year, I got 100% Compliance that Year. After many Teachers were wondering, who I was and who was writing them up. I got an award near the end of the School Year for “Parking Lot Duty” that I didn’t even know that I had won. There was an Award Ceremony that I didn’t go to because I thought that I wouldn’t get an award that I got one anyway. So, I personally count that more as a Professional Accomplishment. The next Accomplishment is something that My Mom is proud of. You See, do you remember My Mom and I went to Houston to meet this wonderful Photographer who is now our buddy? This was a while ago, so it is okay if you don’t remember. Anyway, Before we all had our “Model Pictures” taken if you will, We went to a Presentation at the Baylor College of Medicine to show all his photos that he has taken of People with various Special Needs since the beginning. Anyway, after they showed all the pictures, Dr. Potocki & Dr. Lupski, and Other Doctors as well as My Mom joined a little panel in front of Over 200 Medical Students for a program called “Compassion and The Art of Medicine.” Dr. Potocki told me the night before that I could join if I wanted to. When the panel started, I was a little nervous sitting in the audience and then, Dr. Potocki said, “We also have Julie’s Son, Christian here if he would like to come up” and I sat there for a second and I thought, Okay, I might as well. After I sat down with everyone, They had a microphone for everyone to pass around and Of Course, with every question, they passed it to me. Eventually, I got the hang of it and used to them passing the Mic to each person. Now, as My Mom likes to say, it didn’t go without me having People in Tears with the things I said. I even polled the audience to see who looked at people from The Inside (Meaning Inner Beauty), instead of The Outside (Meaning Outer Beauty, like someone’s appearance) and only a few hands came up and I said, “God Bless You Guys! Because We need to see the Inner Beauty of People, Not Outer Beauty.” I told people that sometimes It is hard to see the Inner Beauty because you are too fixated on the outside and Yes, even I have done that a time or two. One of the Most Inspirational Things I said was (as I quote Myself from My Records), “Most People only look at the outside of others. That is all they see and are judged on. You can brush your hair, and put on Makeup, but Someone is still going to tell you, “Man, You Look Ugly!” Then, Of Course, there was the very daring thing I said that My Mom LOVES to Reference, I told Over 200 Medical Students and Doctors that, “Having Special Needs is not like living in Hell or anything.” After the panel was over, I just stood there looking at everyone answering questions and the next thing I had a line of Medical Students and Doctors Thanking Me for being so honest and Asking different questions. So, I’m really proud of this accomplishment because I had to talk in front of so many people. A Minor Accomplishment that I did was that I rode in a “Traffic Helicopter” during TV & Radio 5 O’ Clock Traffic Report and Told to keep my eyes peeled from Traffic Trouble. They were impressed that I knew where I was in all parts of the city. they told me that I was welcome back anytime, that was a Fun Accomplishment! All in All, I am very proud of these many accomplishments in My Life.

Thanks for Reading The Christianville Spirit. Be Proud of Your Big and Small Accomplishments.
