The Christianville Spirit
The Spirit that touches Your Life
February 25, 2009-TCS # 136
As you all know I love Travel and like find things related to travel online. One of the things I like to is look at Google Maps. I like to look at Google Maps because it has really cool functions like Street View, Pictures, Wikipedia, and more… anyway, my latest interest seems to be using that Pictures function and go to International Borders in many parts of the world. Now, in real life the only International Borders I’ve been to are the US/Mexico Border at Laredo and Progresso, TX; and US/Canada at Sault Ste. Marie, MI. but, with Google Maps I’ve been to many borders like China/Russia, Turkey/Iran, Sweden/Denmark, and more. Seeing that many borders makes you realize the different styles of International Borders. Some International Borders have gates on either side; some borders have bridges with the flags of the countries to the middle of the bridge like for example at the Myanmar/Thailand Border they have a bridge with Thailand’s Flags and Myanmar Flags on the side of them and in the middle they meet. But, the 2 things that amazes me the most is that 2 countries with 2 different languages can meet on a bridge or in the middle of land or 2 counties with different building styles and different political systems meet in one place. All in all, though it’s really cool to see pictures of different International Borders.
Thanks for reading The Christianville Spirit. Be blessed that you live in The United States because some countries aren’t as lucky as us.
