The Christianville Spirit: Christian's Year-In-Review 2022

The Christianville Spirit

The Spirit that Moves Mountains

December 27th, 2022- TCS # 796

Well, My Readers, PTLS Family Members, and Friends, It looks like We have come to The End of Another Year here at The Christianville Spirit and What a Year it was. Oh Boy! When I say “What a Year” I mean it! You Know, Those Times when You are at a Concert or Special Movie with Tickets in Hand, and You are waiting for that One Friend to Show up. Because They promised that They would show up? Yeah, That is what This Year felt like to Me. Now, Don’t get me wrong, There were Some Exciting Moments of This Year. My Mental Health (Anxiety) did get slightly better This Year compared to Last Year of 2021. But, Still, Something felt off This Year. I entered This Year with Cautious Optimism, because of The Rough Year last year and in a way, Coming down from it. It is Hard to explain. So, I mean This Year was better but, still Rough around The Edges. I did become a little more like My Normal Self this Year, with The Ugly side coming out from Time to Time, but I handled it the Best I could.

Needless to say, I had an Okay but, Rough Year Personally. I know that Everyone Else had a Rough Year in Some Way. So, As Much as We want to scream Happy New Year, We have to Review This Year before We can move on. So, The One thing that We definitely needed in This Crazy Year was Something that I tried My Best to Provide, Hope. That was not only This Year’s Tagline and Theme but, This Year unlike Any other Year, We really needed it!

The Tagline and Theme of 2022 is The Spirit that Moves Mountains. This Tagline is Credited to PTLS Family Member, M. Theresa.

So, First Thing that We need to Review is Something that I do Every Year, which is My Goals of The Year which I always set with Love, Heart, and Most Importantly, with Hope.

I have Learned that You can plan Goals and Destiny at The Time, says “Not Yet”. So, Maybe I should have My Goals more toward Where I want or Believe that Destiny wants me to go. I will still have My Goals but, This Year I am Letting My Angel Director of Destiny and Of Course, My Guardian Angel lead The Way because They know Where I am headed and Not what I want but, What I need!

I am Sad to report that I could not accomplish This Year’s Goals, except One. But, I am still hopeful for 2023!

So, Here were My 2022 Goals with Love and Hope in My Heart!

  •  I Know, I said This Last Year but I feel It is Time that I Deserve to be with My Forever Romantic Person. It is Formal Term that could mean Soulmate, True Love, or Life Partner. Soulmates are rumored to Come, Give You Lesson, and Leave. At Least, That is a Theory that I heard. A Forever Romantic Person is The Kind of Love that makes you Complete as well as Love that You can perfect over The Years. Love that makes you Fall in Love over and over, and You never get Tired of It; that Laughing at Something really Mundane kind of Love; Lay Underneath The Christmas Tree together or like Laying on The Grass looking at The Stars, with only The Christmas Lights at Night kind of Love; Singing to Our Favorite Song kind of Love; and, The Kind of Heart that will Love You No Matter what You look like or What You are doing kind of Love! Someone that is as Christina Yang of The TV Show, Grey’s Anatomy said “You're My Person”. Director of Destiny, “Ma Take The Wheel” with This One! (Next Year, Ma! Must be Next Year!)

  • Personal One: Stay Away from, Reject and/or Rebuke Negative Energy (This Goal was Hard Work with My Anxiety! But Dang It. I did it!)

  • Maybe have Faith’s Daughter teach me to Paddle Board. I would believe that Faith, herself, would still want me to at least try it. (The Family involved, They had a Rough Year this year. So, Next Year!)

  • And, Finally on The PTLS Front, 2022 is The 15th Year since The Naming of PTLS. Gotta Make it Big! Of Course, It is always a Dream that I make It to Italy This Year! That would be a Dream come true! Of Course, Can’t Forget about Spreading Hope to PTLS Family Members and Friends! (We were able to do a Virtual “Congress” with PTLS Family Members in The Netherlands! So, We sort of did that Goal!)

So, Those were My 2022 Goals! Kind of Hard to set and complete Goals after a Hard Year!

So, Generally, Most of These Goals have been moved to The Year of 2023. I believe that I will have Much Better luck Next Year! Now, Yes, I know that I may sound Negative when Reflecting about This Year. Now, Just Because Crazy Stuff happened this Year does not mean that Good Things did not come out of It. It may sound Crazy but, Sometimes, The Best Things can come out of Not-So-Great Things. So, with that said, I cannot wait until 2023.

So, with that said, Before 2023 comes and We excitedly watch The Ball drop, Let’s Re-Live 2022 via what I call “Christian’s Year-In-Review 2022”, My self-produced Year-In-Review.

So, without Further adieu, Let’s get started!

So, like all Years We start in January. So, The Year did not start Very Well for Me because of a Heart-Breaking Moment of My Life; On the Morning of January 13th, a PTLS Family Member and My Friend, Kristi passed away. (Refer to “Kristi on My Heart” Newsletter). I knew It was coming but, It still was a Big Surprise to Me! I Miss Her calls and Her Trademark Line, saying “Hun” in Her Greetings! Good News in My Family Country, on January 11th, the Georgia Bulldogs won the National Championship for The First Time in 41 Years!

Before I start with The News, I try as Hard as I can to avoid any Upsetting Political Stories, but For The Sake of History and My Year-In-Review, I feel I must mention them. If I feel that It may Upset (or Trigger) Someone, I will say, Political Story Alert! So, Let me say this first. Let Me Make it VERY Clear that Us here at The Christianville Spirit and In Integrity of This Newsletter, **The Christianville Spirit is and Forever will be Non-Politically Aligned with any Candidate or Leader.*

In The News, on January 9th, TV Dad and Star, Bob Saget passed away. In Disaster News, A Volcano Erupts on Island of Tonga on January 14th

Going into The “Love Month” of February, I watched the Winter Olympics that took place in Beijing, China for 2 Weeks, from February 4th to The 20th. I even watched The Opening and Closing Ceremonies Live on TV at 5 AM Central Time! On February 11th In My Made-Up City of Christianville, I opened a New Station on One of CARTA’s (Christianville Area Rapid Transit Authority) Light Rail Lines called “Christian Romantic Station”. (Refer to “Christian Romantic Station (2-22-22) Newsletter). In The News, A Local Team won Super Bowl 56 in Local Host City (LA Rams in Los Angeles) on February 13th. Also, in The News, Political Story Alert! (PSA!) Russia Invades of Ukraine on February 25th. I am Sorry if that Triggers You. I am No Fan of War Myself! But, It is part of History.

Now, A Highlight of The Year, The PTLS Month of March (Marzo)!  This PTLS Month was Very Special because This Year was The 15th PTLS Awareness Month and March 8th was The 15th PTLS Awareness Day. A Big Moment for My PTLS Family Members! Can’t Believe that It has been 15 Years since Potocki-Lupski Syndrome was named! Hard to Believe! A Little Moment of Panic happened at My House on March (Marzo) 21st because A Rotational Cloud flew over Our House. Basically, A Cloud that could have been a Tornado (Yes, Really! A Tornado!) flew over My House! In The News, The Drummer of The Band, Foo Fighters passed away on March (Marzo) 25th. Of Course, Can’t Forget to mention “The Slap seen around The World” as Actor Will Smith slapped Actor Chris Rock at The Oscar Awards on March (Marzo) 28th

April was a Quiet Month for The Most Part. Except a Little bit of April Blues at The Very End of April when I fell on The Ground while Running in Flip Flops and Hurt My Ribs (Just a Small Fracture!) on April 27th. I thought I had Made it through April without April Blues. I guess It is like Nurses at The Emergency Room say “Don’t say the Q Word! (aka It’s Quiet in Here)”. In The News, Another Musician passed away! This Time, It was Singer Naomi Judd on April 30th.

May was a Month with A lot of Important Moments including My Cousin Parker graduating High School in Mid-May and My PTLS Friend, Allison graduating High School as well on May 22nd. I also got to Stream the Eurovision Song Contest as if I was in Europe via RTE Ireland and RUV Iceland on May 14th! It was Very Exciting to that, instead of Traditional YouTube. I could see what Europe sees! In The News, There was a Shooting at a School in Uvalde, Texas on May 25th. Very Sad! In Disaster News, on May 26th, There was a 7.2 Earthquake in The South American Nation of Peru. A Big One, at say the Least.

Personally, June was a Quiet Month except when I decided to Celebrate Italy’s (I) Republic Day on June 2nd, on Top of Sweden’s (S) Sveriges Nationaldag on June 6th. I put The Respective Flags out for The Celebration Day. In The News, Queen Elizabeth II celebrated 70 Years of Royalty on June 2nd. That is Very Hard to Believe! 70 Years! Here in The United States, In Disaster News, There was a Flood at Yellowstone National Park on June 15th. Also, on June 24th, All Planets of The Solar System have Aligned! That is Amazing!

Now We have Reached the Mid-Year Point of July!, Similar to Celebrating International National Holidays in June, I decided to do the Same Thing of Celebrating Canada’s Canada Day on July 1st and Of Course, The United States’ Fourth of July on July 4th! In The News, Shock! As the Prime Minister of Japan was shot and killed on July 8th. Something like that has not happened in a Long Time, as Far as I can Remember! In Weather News, There was a Major Flash Flood in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 29th. It flooded Several Streets and Even a few Hotels! Crazy Weather, I tell ya!

Now, We enter into My Birth Month of August, Where I turned the Ripe Young Age of 35 Years Old! That was Hard to believe too, 35 Years Old! Wow! Also, This Month was The Finale of My Celebrating International Holidays when I did The 1st Observance of Switzerland’s (CH) Confederation Day on August 1st. In the News, Weather News, that is, There was Flash Flooding in a Portion of Dallas where It rained 8 to 10 Inches. In North-Central Dallas, It rained that much! Other areas, It rained 1 to 2 Inches. Talk about a Freak Storm!

So, September! In September, We were invited to go to The Netherlands for a PTLS “Congress”, but Due to Personal Reason, We could not go. So, I did a Virtual Presentation for PTLS Family Members in The Netherlands to see. I recorded to The Presentation beforehand and It was Shown Live at 4:00 AM on September 11th.

In The Weather, Hurricane Ian hit Southwest Florida (Punta Gorda – Ft. Myers – Naples) as a Category 4 Hurricane! Tampa was Very Lucky because It was Very Close to hitting them! In The News, Besides Singer/Rapper Coolio passing away; Monarch of The UK, Queen Elizabeth II passed away on September 8th. I am sure that was a Shock for A lot of People!

October was a Quiet Month personally. However, I did get to have a Virtual Movie Night with My Brother, Michael for His Birthday! That was a lot of Fun to do with Him! It was like I was There with Him and He was with Me! Good Quality Time! Also, on October 6th, was My 16th Year of Writing This Newsletter. In The News, In South Korea, There was a Stampede of People in a Small Street running, In which Many People were hurt because of It.

November was Certainly a Month to Remember because It did not dawn on Me until a Day before that November 29th, It had been 10 Years since the PTLS Foundation Started. A Big Congrats to The PTLS Foundation for Helping with Spread Awareness about Potocki-Lupski Syndrome (or PTLS). In The News, Another Singer passed away! This Time, a Singer of Generation, Aaron Carter on November 5th and He was 34 Years Old! I remember hearing his Music playing on Disney Channel. In Shocking News, (At least for Me) Julie Powell, The Book writer inspired by The Movie, Julie and Julia passed away at 49 Years Old on November 1st.

In Weather News, A Mind-Blowing 77 Inches of Snow fell in a Town South of Buffalo, New York called Orchard Park, New York. Seriously! 77 Inches of Snow! Talk about Lake-Effect Snow!

And, Finally, We get to December Now, I will save you and Not Write about Negative News Events because I feel that You do not deserve that as Your Year Ending. I think that We have had Enough of The News and Negative Things.

So, Let’s End The Year with an Imagine.

The PTLS Gang and I had a Nice Last Zoom Get-Together of The Year. We talked about Various Things including The Goods and The Bads of This Year, What We have Learned, and Of Course, What We hope for in The New Year. I will tell you this, There is nothing better than Laughing with Your PTLS Peers for upwards of 7 Hours, The Longest that All of Us have ever Video Chatted before. I Thank God for Them because They have helped me a lot This Year in Their Own Way! I Thank God for Giving me Peace and Comfort through My Crazy Year.

All in all, That was My Rather Interesting but, Not-as-Rough-as-Last-Year Year. I guess M. Theresa was right on with This Year’s Theme Suggestion! A Year that was dare I say, Mountainous, both Good and Bad. Okay, so This Year was a Mountainous Year, felt like More like Climbing! But, Maybe the Climbing will soon reach the Top and The View will be Beautiful! Maybe that was The Lesson of The Year! Humm.... Something to Think about!

But, I genuinely hope that You, My Readers, had a Good Year and Hope for an Even Better Year Next Year. And, I can’t wait to see you back here for Another Year of Uplifting, Compassionate, and Inspirational Newsletters to come in 2023!

(For The Last Time in 2022 Anyway)
