Ah Yes! 2024! Hard to Believe that You are Here! It doesn’t feel like It to Me, Here I am writing My “Happy New Year” Newsletter, so Here You Are!
(Sweetly) So, I was a Little Harsh with 2023 and Got an Okay but Not Year. So, Perhaps, The Opposite Approach might Work! As My Uncle Bruce would probably say (Slowly) “Ohhh Yeah!” So, I’m going to do this with Some Southern US Flair to It. Annnd, We Begin!
(Sweetly) Heeeey 2024! How’s It going, Sweetheart?! How are Your Folks and The Youngins?! (Folks; Southern Translation, Your Parents) & (Youngins; Southern Translation, The Kids). Come on In! Do You want some Coffee, Tea, or Something to Eat!
And, then, Southern Seriousness Starts, Lord Help You if You hear This Kind of Talk! So, Listen 2024! A Few of My Friends (And, Japan) had kind of a Rough Start to You, 2024.
So, I really hope that You have Good Intentions, Son (or “Missy” aka Daughter) because Alot of Us that have had Rough Years since 2020 would really Love a Great Year, This Year. Okay, Sweetheart? Like, We Love You, 2024! But, We also want You to be Good to Us. You Know what They say, “Your Sweet to Us, We’ll be Sweet to You”. Simple as that, 2024!
I mean, Seriously, You got alot going for You, 2024. It is literally been (Almost) a Quarter of Century already. Yes, Really, a Quarter of 21st Century,
which is Kind of a Big Deal if You lived the Infamous Y2K like Us, Youngins (aka “Young People” or 90s Kids).
One More Thing, 2024, Please to Kind to Us here in America that will be Dealing a (Clearing Throat) Rather Crazy Political Year. So, (Big Hug) We Love You, 2024!
So, Enjoy Your Sweet Tea, Sweetheart!
But, Know that Us, Southerners... We’ll be Watching!
So, Let’s Start with The First Order of Business to Open a Year, The Tagline of My Newsletter, The Christianville Spirit.
It has a Tradition here at The Christianville Spirit since This Newsletter started to do a Tagline after The Title of The Newsletter, as You see above in Every Newsletter that I write. For a Long Time, It used to be just a Tagline. Well, Not JUST a Tagline. But, at The Time, It was. It was a Tagline to make My Newsletter cool. After a Few Years, after I followed another Tradition of Polling Friends and Family for New Taglines, It kind of took a Life of It’s Own. My Taglines started becoming The Theme of My Newsletter that Year and More on The Theme of That Year.
So, Of Course, It goes without saying that The Year 2023’s Tagline is The Spirit that Shines Brightly. This Tagline was a Last Minute Entry that is Credit to My Mom’s Gal-Pal Linda (Code Name: G.P Linda), by The Way, Refer to The “My Friend, G.P Linda” Newsletter, You have not heard Me talk about Her.
What does that mean? Or What does that Theme mean?
Well, The First Thing that comes to Mind when I think of “Shines Brightly” is The Opening to Rihanna’s Song “Diamonds in The Sky”; In The Words of Rihanna: “Shine Bright like a Diamond”. Not that I am into R&B Music or Rap Music. Actually, It’s considered “Pop Music” Technically because It was Popular Music back in 2012 if You can believe that. Of Course, The Song “Brighter than The Sun” From Colbie Caillat literally came to Mind. That One was Not in My Notes, but Okay. What about in The Lizzie Mcguire Movie when The Italian Guy told Lizzie (aka Hillary Duff) and Spoiler Alert! “You shine like The Light from The Sun”.
Okay, We get The References You might say, but, What does that mean? Well, In My Literal Mind, You “Shine like The Light from The Sun”, You either are Naturally Beautiful (Young Guys would be “Hot”); Wearing Waay Too Much Make-Up; or You have rather Flashy Clothes on. Although, I had always thought that You catch more Attention, Naturally but Wearing Bright Colors like Red or Orange. That and Generally, Women anyway, Look more Beautiful when Wearing Red. Must be One of Those Natural Humanly Responses. But, Shining Brightly, Is not about Looks. I mean, It can be. But, That’s not The Whole Story though. It is mostly about The Personality. A More Friendly, Out-Going, and Colorful Personality. Honestly, That is a Major Reason Why People might like You more than Others, because of The Bright Personality. Myself, for Example (Not to Brag) but, I feel that If Any of My Personalities (There’s a Newsletter about it actually) that I feel like People would be Attracted to, in Me, I would guess I would be My Romanticism Personality. I mean, Yeah, maybe My “Special Needs Logic” Personality, People are attracted to, but, Not like My Romanticism. Now, for Someone in My Family Country like Uncle Craig, It is not only His Bright Colors (We call it “Uncle Craig Bright”) but, His Professional Classiness that I feel that The Brightest Part and Of Course, Grandma Honey, It’s probably Her Warm Friendliness, that I feel that People love. And, Of Course, for My Mom, It is probably The Warmness of Her Heart in a Professional-Yet-Personal Way that She helps PTLS Family Members all over The World. I would like to think that Even the Harshest People have Brightness in Them, that They may not want to Show. But, If You can get through to Them and Believe Me, Some People Can, It melts Their Heart and then, Cracks starts happening and Soon Enough, They are Shining Brighter than You thought They would. It is like that Scene from The Movie “Deck The Halls” Where The Guy (Spoiler Alert Again!) has Her Christmas Lights so Bright, It makes The House seen for Space!
It would make The Fish from The TV Show,
“Spongebob Squarepants” Scream out
(Yelling) “MYYYY EYEES”.
So, This Year, You should “Shine like The Light from The Sun”.
If Not, then, Make Someone Else, “Shine like The Light from The Sun”
Now, One More Order of Business to Take Care of Opening The Year! It is another Tradition here at The Christianville Spirit. Every Year, I Make Goals with The Best Heart in Mind Goals with Love, Heart, and Of Course, with Giving.
I have Learned that You can plan Goals and Destiny at The Time, says “Not Yet”. So, Maybe I should have My Goals more toward Where I want or Believe that Destiny wants me to go. I will still have My Goals but, This Year I am Letting My Angel Director of Destiny and Of Course, My Guardian Angel lead The Way because They know Where I am headed and Not what I want but, What I need!
So, Here are My 2024 Goals with Love and Hope in My Heart!
++++ I Know, I said This Last Year but I feel It is Time that I Deserve to be with My Forever Romantic Person. It is Formal Term that could mean Soulmate, True Love, or Life Partner. Soulmates are rumored to Come, Give You Lesson, and Leave. At Least, That is a Theory that I heard. A Forever Romantic Person is The Kind of Love that makes you Complete as well as Love that You can perfect over The Years. Love that makes you Fall in Love over and over, and You never get Tired of It; that Laughing at Something really Mundane kind of Love; Lay Underneath The Christmas Tree together or like Laying on The Grass looking at The Stars, with only The Christmas Lights at Night kind of Love; Singing to Our Favorite Song kind of Love; and, The Kind of Heart that will Love You No Matter what You look like or What You are doing kind of Love! Someone that is as Christina Yang of The TV Show, Grey’s Anatomy said “You're My Person”. Director of Destiny, “Ma Take The Wheel” with This One!
++++ Personal One: Keep The Momentum Going from Last Year! Becoming Myself Again!
++++ Maybe have Faith’s Daughter teach me to Paddle Board. I would believe that Faith, herself, would still want me to at least try it.
++++ And, Finally on The PTLS Front,
2024 is The 17th Year since PTLS was Named which I feel should be a Big Deal.
17th Year = 17th Chromosome. Support My Young Adult PTLS Friend, and Of Course, Spreading Hope to PTLS Family Members and Friends!
So, Those are My 2024 Goals! Kind of Hard to set Goals after a Few Rough Years! However, I am looking forward to a Year of Shining Brightly, A Year of Big Events, and A Year of Happiness and Good Things! Welcome 2024! We have been waiting for You!
