The Christianville Spirit: Surprises in My Birthday Week

The Christianville Spirit
The Spirit that Makes You Wonder
August 16th, 2017-TCS # 557

Happy New Age Year to Me, My Readers! Wow! Folks, It has been quite a Week, This Week! I mean that like It was One of The Best Birthdays that I have had. I am a New Age now! I am now 30 Years Old! Can You Believe that?! I know I can’t! So, 30 Years Old. What do I know about 30 Years Old? Well, 3 in Numerology is a Good Number, It is a Godly Number. In Sequence, 333 is not only “God’s Phone Number” as My Friend from Middle School, Jeremiah’s Mom, Miss Marilyn taught me that. It also means Cosmic Yes! 30 is the Age, that when The Big Things in Your Life start happening. You find The Love of Your Life, You Find a Great Job, and Have a Family, that is if You want Kids. I have heard that You would have those by 30, So I am thinking that means before You turn 31. Then again, that is My Old-Fashioned Self speaking and Influenced from Watching probably too many Romantic Comedies and Hallmark Movies. So, A Question I get about being 30 Years Old, How does it feel? Well, It took a while getting used to it. I have found that It is an Odd Age because It seems Old, but Yet You feel Young still. It is Very Odd.

You Know, in Life, Surprises come when You least expect them.  Surprises even start back to The Moment when You find out that Your Mom was Pregnant. She did not know that She was going to have Kids. After That, The Next Surprise is when Your Child is Born, You don’t know if It is going to be a Boy or Girl and It pretty much sets the Track of the Whole Child’s Life. After I was Born, My Mom was Pleasantly Surprised when She found that I was a bit More Unique than She expected. She was Surprised to find out that I had a Duplication of Chromosome 17 before it was known as Potocki-Lupski Syndrome and, then Fast Forward to My 30th Birthday where I had Surprises The Whole Week.

So, What did I do for My Birthday? Well, as far as I knew I was going to FaceTime with My Brother back in Colorado, Maybe hang out with My Mom’s Former Student, Girl’s Group, and Go to Dinner with Max. Oh, but, as My Brother would say “You don’t even Knooow!”.

So, I am sitting watching a Movie on Wednesday Night, My Mom is in Bed, Her and I are the only ones Home. Well, I heard the Dogs start barking and Then, The Front Door opens. I say “Mom?”, thinking maybe She went Outside for Some Reason. I look toward The Hallway and In walked My Brother. I say “Michael?!” I laugh at Myself the way I responded but, The First Thing I said “What are You doing here?”. thinking, Why is Michael here and How did He get here? Did He just Magically show up? Did Santa Claus in His Off Time, bring him? He actually came to Texas to surprise me! and, Shocker! My Mom actually had been keeping the Surprise from Me for like, Two Weeks! Bonus here! He was the one who planned on coming down to Plano to see me for My 30th Birthday. What a Great First Surprise! Oh and I had Him for a Whole Week!

So, on Thursday, We were going to go to Dinner with a Friend of Ours but, She was not feeling good. So, We went to Downtown McKinney to Eat Dinner instead. After We ate Dinner, We stopped by that Texas Wines place that We went with Uncle Craig back when He was here and Then, I got Myself some Good Cherry Pie (My Favorite!) from a Place called Pie Emporium. They have Fresh Pies, with Fresh Ingredients, and Pies that are in Season.

On Friday, My Birthday, My Brother and I went for a Drive. I showed him the New Cowboys Headquarters, Practice Stadium, and Hotel near it. The Hotel was Brand New (18 Days Old at The Time) and I wanted to see Inside of it. After driving through another “Life Style Center” as Uncle Craig would call it, We went to Dinner at My Mom’s Friend, Max’s House. That was a Surprise too! I thought that It was going to be Just My Brother, Myself, My Mom, and Max. It actually was My Mom; Max; Former Neighbors, Robin and Woody; My Mom’s Former Student Friends; Barb, My Mom’s High School Friend (The Person who found Paco); and, My Brother. It was an Awesome Dinner Party! It was Good to see Robin and Woody again! I really miss them as Our Neighbors! They were The Best Neighbors! It was One of The Best Birthdays I had had.

On Saturday, another Surprise that was a Minor Surprise, but We got to have Dinner with My Brother’s Friend (and, My Friend), Spencer. We went out to have Thai Food. It was pretty authentic! It was good to see Spencer again. I have not seen him since Shortly after My Brother moved to Colorado, Two Years Ago!

On Sunday, was another Surprise! A Surprise Pool Party with All of My Neighbors That was a Total Surprise and I was Pleasantly Surprised! It was Fun to hang out and swim with them! I have to say that I have Most Awesome Neighbors! Very Loving and Very Supportive.

For The Rest of The Week, We did Memorable Things like We watched a Great Movie, Inside Out. Had Great Talks with My Brother. He got to meet My Great Friend, McKenna. I have to tell you, It was One of The Best Birthdays I have had. The Surprise of My Brother coming to Town really meant a lot to Me. All in all, The Surprises of My Birthday Week were Beyond Amazing!

The Christianville Spirit: My Day of Birth

The Christianville Spirit
The Spirit that Makes You Wonder
August 9th, 2017-TCS # 556

Happy Birthday Week to Me, My Readers! Yes, Folks! T his Week is what I refer to as “My Birthday Week”. Why Celebrate Just a Day when You can celebrate the Entire Month and Entire Week of Your Birthday? Genius Right? I would believe so! It is much more Fun that way. I still can not believe that I am turning 30 Years Old This Week. It just baffles me! This, However is the Last Newsletter of My 29th Year! I had a Really Great 29th Newsletter. I went to Spain and Spoke in front of PTLS Family Members; I went on a Cruise with A PTLS Family Member without My Mom, The First Trip I have done without Family of Mine since, like 5th Grade (1998). I have grown up a lot in My 29th Year. So, Adios to My 29th Year! So, This Birthday Newsletter is going to be a Little Different. Less than Traditional. So, Something that Most People don’t think about, Your Birthday is not just Your Birthday, It is also for Your Mom. Your Mom?! You would say. “It’s MY Birthday, not Hers!”. But, Here is the Thing, We would not be here without Our Moms. Our Moms giving birth to us. My Mom and I were talking about it one Night and I asked her, “What would You call the day of My Birth?”. “Mother’s Day of Birthing” and Everyone has one. In Other Words, In a way, Your Birthday is mainly about You but, also about Your Mom. So, What about Your Mom? Well, in Honor of Her, My Mom is Awesome! The Thing is about Your Mom is that You don’t realize how much She does for You from Birth to Now. I Thank My Mom for that Every Day and not just in a “Thanks Mom for Dinner” kind of way. After all, She birthed me, She burped me, She cuddled me, She took care of me, and Sent me to School among Many, Many Things. She does a lot too! She does a lot of Work (that is often Unseen, as to How hard she works) and Representation of not only Myself but, My Special Needs of Potocki-Lupski Syndrome (or PTLS for Short). That Alone deserves an Award! She does a lot of Work for Furthering PTLS and does not Get Paid (Which She should, just My Bias here!) and Eventually Will be! She tells me that She knew I had Something Special about Me and that I was Unique from The Minute that I was Born! From The Moment that She felt Everything giving Birth to Me, She knew She was going to be in for Quite a Ride! Not in the Very Least a Typical Up and Down Ride! How about an Up, Down, Upside Down, and Spinning Ride?! and, Quite a Ride that She has ridden up to Now and Will continue to Ride. Now, Imagine this Whole Ride of PTLS, Working Hard Unseen, and Raising Him Up. Comes to Her Oldest Son turing 30 Years Old on Friday! That is just Cray-Cray! I am not a Gift Receiving kind of Person (It is not My First Love Language), I would rather feel Love with Quality of Time. I would rather Celebrate The People that I know and Love as My Gift. So, that is My Gift to You. All in all, I Thank You to My Readers for Being in My Life. And, I thank My Mom for Birthing Me for You to be in My Life!

Thanks for Reading The Christianville Spirit. Thank You for Being My Lifetime Gift.

The Christianville Spirit: What's It Like Having PTLS- A Christianville Classic

The Christianville Spirit
The Spirit that Makes You Wonder
August 2nd, 2017-TCS # 555

Happy August, My Readers! Yes, Folks! It is that time of Year! Not only is it My Birthday next week, My 30th actually. But, Something that comes with being an August Baby. It is Back to School Time! For Those in The US, We start a New Grade in August, where as in places like Australia, A New Grade starts in January or somewhere near that. Anyway, Funny Thing about being born in August, You learn that School always starts either before, on, or after My Birthday. I will tell you, it was quite Fun when School started on My Birthday. I actually met My Best Friend, Karleen on My Birthday in 10th Grade. Anyway, so This Week’s Newsletter is going to be a Real Treat, a Double Feature! Yes, My Readers! A Double Feature! So, A Couple Years Ago, I wrote Two Gold Newsletters that answer a Very Important Question that PTLS Family Members have, but might be too Afraid to ask and Hear the Answer to...For They fear that The Answer to Said Question may or may not be either The Answer They are looking for or The Answer They are wanting. However, I can assure you that The Question and Answer is not that bad. But, do take The Answer in Slow Segments. The Question is, of course, “What is it like having PTLS?” and I feel that These Newsletters explaining it should be a Christianville Classic! So, without further a due, This is The New Christianville Classic, What It’s Like Having PTLS (Parts 1 & 2). As a Reminder, All of My Christianville Classics are listed on My Newsletter Site.

What’s It Like Having PTLS? (Part 1)
This Newsletter was written on November 28th of 2012 (Refer to Newsletter 327 or Classic List)

So, This Week’s Newsletter is a PTLS Parent-submitted idea that I’m going to take a shot at. You See, The question does come up every now and then about “What is it like to have PTLS” or “Why do you love having PTLS.” Now, for Me, I’ve lived through it my whole life but, I found out when I was 8 Years Old. The Doctors and My Mom told me I was unique and that I had something called a “Duplication of Chromosome 17” but, again in my 8 Year Old mind, I just understood that I was unique in some way. I was very proud to say what I had (and, I still am proud) but, I had a hard time explaining it to people, yes even Today. Of Course, My “PTLS Sister” will tell you what she has and tells you what she knows about it and says to “look it up”. Quite Frankly, though, I think that’s the best idea to do. However, when I was a High School age, we didn’t have a website or let alone ANY Information about it. Now, to answer the question of “What is it Like to have PTLS?” to me, It’s not a big deal that I have Special Needs (I am aware of it though) because I believe it makes me, Me. The best part about it that makes it a big deal is having PTLS Family Members all over The World. Of Course, with everything, it has Pros and Cons about it, just like Chicago O’Hare vs. Chicago Midway Airport, Irrelevant I know, but I wanted to stick that in there. Generally though, There are some wonderful perks to it, like that You don’t judge People by their looks or their story because we see the good in People, We have No Filter, which can be a good thing or bad thing depending on who you are listening to, and we love anyone and everyone, unless they really hurt us, then we don’t understand why people would be so Mean. If it were up to us, we would hug every person that looks Sad or who just feels sad. Then, there are the not-so-perky parts of it; the #1 less-perky thing about PTLS is the Anxiety. Anxiety can come from different sources like Trying New Things, the Doctor’s Office, or Irrational Fears. By The Way, We do have Irrational Fears that we go through, where it comes out of nowhere, strikes, and then goes away after a while. The next thing is Imitating, which can be Good or Bad depending on who or what your imitating. And the final one, It’s a pain when people look down on you, as if you are dumber or less-able than them, It’s where and why people call us, the dreaded R-Word. At Least, for me I get offended whether someone calls me the R-Word directly or indirectly. Even if they use it in a funny way like “That’s R-Worded” to mean that something is funny (I’ll save you from hearing or reading the word itself, but you get the point). Bottom line, I Hate that word. And Yes, I had a friend who did that a lot and I’m sure still does. So, He’s not My Friend anymore. As far as, Why do I Love it? Because it makes me unique and I love my “Uniqueness” plus, there are lots of Understanding PTLS Members all over The World and it gives me an excuse to visit those places. Understanding though, is the Most Important (I mean it with emphasis) part of having PTLS or Having someone with PTLS, whether it’s your son, daughter, cousin, or friend. Unfortunately, in some families, including my own, it’s hard for people to Understand. If you have Friends or Family that do understand, Never let them go and cherish them, because they will be your ringleader and on Team “Insert Child’s Name Here.” You need Cheerleaders in the times when we are Bullied or made fun of. I know I had Friends that protected me when I was younger but, didn’t know why. I didn’t know what a bully was until I got older. Now, I’m aware when people aren’t being nice. But, it doesn’t happen very often, thank goodness. So, all in all, just because people see me as being “Special” doesn’t mean, I’m not able.

What’s It Like Having PTLS (Part 2)
This Newsletter was written on December 5th of 2012 (Refer to Newsletter 328 or Classic List)

Well, Happy December, Everyone! This is My Most Favorite Month of The Year, more on that in a couple weeks. This Week, however, is sort of an extension of the question, “What is it like to have PTLS?”. I forgot to mention about 2 other major things about PTLS, that would be Imitating and Obsessing (we’ll call it OCDing) because we PTLSers have an Obsessive Compulsive Disorder behaviors sometimes. Now, I had a whole thing about Imitating, I figured that I had mentioned it enough in My Newsletters, but to my surprise and yes, some humor, You wanted more about Imitating. Last Week though, for those are new, I had written a little blip about Imitating and what it is like to have PTLS. So, anyway, let’s get to it! Imitating can be a good or bad behavior, depending on the source. Now, before you start asking, “What is the Source, you say?”. Well, The Source is what we’ll call, where the Imitation is coming from and there are many. The Main Sources that I look at when it comes to explaining is The Parents of The Children, Friends (Both Childs & Yours), Other Kids(Other Kids have a greater influence though), and Things on Television. So, considering that we listen to everything, wether we’re talking or not, we will eventually Imitate the things that we hear you saying or doing. The Best Rule to follow is if you want Good Behavior, put them around things of good behavior, in all the main sources. And, the same thing goes  for the opposite side. So, If you want your child to talk and I know many PTLS parents do, than you put them around normal kids who have good behavior. Here are some examples, When I was little (like 3 or 4 Years Old), The School that I went to, there was a kid who pinched people, so I started pinching people, so the teachers had to move me and the kid away from each other. For Eating, I didn’t eat very well but, I sat at a table with kids eating fruit and I started eating off their plates. I got in trouble but, My Mom was happy that I was eating. I learned to jump on The Trampoline, only when there were kids jumping on it, That was the best thing for Me. When the Speech Therapist would say, “Look at me” and turn my head towards her, I would do that to people who weren’t paying attention to me. I would turn their head and say, “Look at Me.” It’s not a big thing but, it was a big part of how I learned.  As for Me, I have Imitated since I was younger and I still do but not as much as I did when I was younger. When I was learning to talk, I would repeat the other kids, and they would tell me to stop repeating them. I did not know why they would get so angry with me. Usually, it takes a little while before I start to pick up whatever behavior I’m watching. Even the 2 Girlfriends I had, I Imitated their behavior; I talked like them, I thought like them, and I behaved like them. Anyway, now we move on to what can be (to outsiders and PTLS Parents themselves) an annoying habit, The OCDing. We PTLSers Obsess about different things; People, Objects, Interests, and Thoughts. So, usually we find something that interests us and we start to Obsess about it by thinking about it, talking about it, and researching things about it. The annoying part of it is that we don’t stop talking about it or researching until something new sparks our interests. For Example, After I spent a long time Obsessing about Ali, she was My 1st unofficial Girlfriend, I found everything with the name Ali in it and drove my Mom and Brother crazy always talking about it. After I broke up with her, I started Obsessing about New England, which was a nice change for everyone around me, but then it was a problem. Which to most people would think is healthy to think about other things besides the girl that you were with. Honestly, I believe that it helped me with getting over her because she was a nice girl. Anyway, I believe when I was around 7th Grade or so, I would pick a City or State to obsess about and they were odd places sometimes. Besides Atlanta, where The Smith Family lives, I would obsess (well, not really obsessing because I love Geography, but anyway..) I would Obsess about the places in between like Alabama, Mississippi, or Houston. In my head, I pretend that we lived in where ever I was obsessing about. When I was Younger, like back what we now call “The Mr. Jeff Era”(from 2nd to 5th Grade), we had a creek in the backyard and considering that I had gone to Laredo and Nuevo Laredo, Mexico with My Dad, I would pretend that Mr. Jeff’s House was the Welcome Center into Laredo, Texas, The creek was the Rio Grande River and, My School, Harrington, was in Mexico. I’m sure, My Childhood Friends hadn’t heard about this until now, or at least I don’t think. The tall-tale sign of what your child or myself are obsessing about is mentioned a lot whenever we talk about things over and over again, and never get tired of it. I have to be told to stop and move on to some other topic. Further toward My Present Age, If you have ever had a conversation with me, you would notice I’ve obsessed about Places like New England (like Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine); Norway & Sweden (My Neighbor, Woody, and I have discussions about that a lot); The Caribbean (like Jamaica, The USVI, and St. Martin & St. Barths;  How News, The World, History, and Politics all tie together; and of course a share of Girls including Girlfriends I’ve had, Girls I like, and of course, My Future Soulmate. I should also mention, if you haven’t noticed, that we like to repeat ourselves, it’s another thing that we PTLSers do called Repetition. So imitation is often when we are young, but not so much when we get older. OCD behaviors help me to stay focused, so I guess it is a Good thing. Repeating myself and talking about my Obsessions, Well, that might drive others crazy, but I like it and so I keep doing it.
All in All,
if your kids are imitating, hopefully its all good things. If they have OCD behavior, be patient with them because it helps them to fell in control and stay focused.

Thanks for Reading The Christianville Spirit. We all have our quirks and good reasons for them. Love us anyways.

The Christianville Spirit: Words for People with Special Needs

The Christianville Spirit
The Spirit that Makes You Wonder
July 26th, 2017-TCS # 554

Howdy, My Readers! Thought I would do different greetings every now and then. “Howdy”, by the way, said better as “Howdy Y’all”, is What we say in Texas to say hello. Y’all, by the way is Texas Short-Hand for You All. So, After Writing This Newsletter for The Past 11 Years, Pretty much Everyday I see a Newsletter that I have written. Some of Them are Good, Some of Them are Brilliant, and A lot are Just Gold Newsletters that Make me say, “Oh! I remember that one! It was a Really Good or Gold Newsletter!” Sometimes, I share it on Facebook but, forget to Rerun It or Sometimes, It comes up and I remember just how Good it was. So, This Week, I am going to Re-run a Newsletter that I had written after The Previous PTLS Conference about Something that I had talked to My Young Adult PTLSers about as well as Some of The Doctors about it, Specifically Dr. Treadwell-Deering (Shout Out!) She is an Awesome Doctor! It is actually something that We should think about, It is about The Words we use for Someone with Special Needs. Something that really needs People’s Attention sometimes. Anyway, Without further a due, I talk about “The Words People use for Special Needs”!

This Newsletter was written on July 15th of 2015 (Refer to Newsletter 457)

So, Among the Many Things that us Young Adult PTLSers talked about at The PTLS Conference was The Meaning of Different Words that People used to refer to those with Special Needs. Also, How do we feel about “having Special Needs”? Well, The Truth is that I am aware that I have Special Needs, I embrace the Fact that I have Potocki-Lupski Syndrome, but at The Same Time, It is NOT Me. Not in the Way of Denial but, In a Way, that I personally don’t see that I have Special Needs because I am just Me, Christian. It might also help to the fact that I have had Potocki-Lupski Syndrome or Duplication 17p11.2 for My Whole Life, so really I don’t know any different. So, About The Words to refer to One with Special Needs, There are 4 Terms that People use. A Disability, Handicap, Mentally Retarded or The R-Word of All Variations, and Someone with Special Needs. I, as well as the Young PTLS Adults would prefer The Last One. Another One is that People think that PTLS is a Disease and I can assure you that It is Not. PTLS just happens, No Other Way to Explain It, It just happens. I see it more like it is a Serendipitous Accident, in other words, it is part of Your Destiny somehow. Anyway, Let’s Examine these Words. Now, I know that Words are Words but Many of These Words have Meanings. First Word is Disability. Disability, as My Young PTLS Adult Friend from The Conference says and The Word, Dis means, Anti or Against Something. In Other Words, You can not do XYZ. Ability, however means that You can do something. So, to refer to Me as Disabled means that I can’t do all the Things I want to do in Life and That is NOT True! Now, to be fair, There are People who are Truly “Disabled”, It is harder to do things but, They are Strong Enough to try their Hardest at it. The Next Word is Handicapped, Because I am able to Walk and Function as Typical as I can, that does not apply to Me. Respectfully, There are People that are Handicapped, even those that Do not have Special Needs. The Best Thing that You can do is ask if They need Help, if They do then, Help them and Mission Accomplished, They will be Grateful to You. If Not, then that is Okay too. Now, Here comes a Word that I do not like to Say Often, nor do I like to be called. Now, This Word comes from The Fact that People like to Compare Kids that have Special Needs versus Those that Don’t and Sometimes, It turns Ugly. We refer to it as The R-Word, Retard (Sorry Kids!). Now, The Word, “Retard” is actually a Cooking Term. You Know, when You are cooking something and The Fire from The Pan gets too High, You have to retard it. This is The Pleasant Way that I see that word’s use. However, The Government at one time used the Word “Mentally Retarded” or “Mental Retardation” to mean Someone with Special Needs, doesn’t sound too bad, right? After Rosa’s Law, It is now “Intellectual Disability”. Now, You drop The Word “Mentally” off That Phrase and that is when It is meant for Harm toward those with Special Needs. People say it in a Funny or Stupid Way, like “Ohh, That’s so Retarded” or “Your So Retarded” (pointing at Whomever did something Stupid, not meant toward Someone with Special Needs). I had a Friend that said that a lot and It annoyed me each time He said it because Said Person had Special Needs! Luckily though, There is a Campaign out there called “Spread The Word to End The Word” (STW, I call it for short) It is at www.r-word.org, Sign the Petition and Stop using The R-Word! And, finally, The Phrase that I would rather be referred to as “Someone with Special Needs” because that is Me, “Someone with Special Needs”, better yet a “A Person with Special Needs” because after all, I am a Person, just like You. A bonus with This Phrase is that it applies across The Board and does not in any way Offend anyone or Make Someone feel Different. So, What about The Other Words, Can I use them too? I would prefer that You not, but If You have to, Change The Words around so They sound better. Disability, How about Differently Abled (regardless whether They are actually “Disabled” or Not). Handicapped, That One can not be changed much because it applies to those who are Truly Handicapped, but Don’t use it on Me because I don’t see myself as “Handicapped”! Mentally Retarded, All Versions of The Word should be Taken Away except for The Original Meaning, which is for Cooking. and, Someone, Person, or People with Special Needs is probably the Best Word to use. All in all, The Point here is that I am just like You. Yes, I may need a bit of Help in certain areas and Treated Kindly, but I deserve to be treated as if I was like Everyone Else. No Comparing, No Name Calling, and PTLS is NOT a Disease, It is Only a Label!

The Christianville Spirit: Turning 30 Soon

The Christianville Spirit
The Spirit that Makes You Wonder
July 19th, 2017-TCS # 553

Oi, My Readers! Oi, by the way is The Greeting for Hello in Portuguese spoken in both Portugal and Brazil. Although, For The Record, Portugal is The Original Portuguese. Anyway, I know it might to weird to think about Right Now, Especially after Recovering from The Conference, but I am going to be turning 30 Years Old in a Few Weeks.  Your Birthday is August 11th, which is like 3 Weeks Away, People would say. “Always be prepared!”, My Grandma Honey will tell you. As She has a Trait of Planning for Things Far in Advance. But, It is a Great Trait to have because again as My Grandma Honey will tell you. “You never Know!” “You don’t even Knoooow!”, My Brother would also say. I miss My Brother! Anyway, so What does Turning 30 Years Old mean to Me? Well, Turning a Big Age is always a Big Deal to Me whether it is 20, 30, “The Big 4-O”, or 50 “Over The Hill”, as I was taught in School. The First Thought that comes is that Most People should be Settled or Ready to Settle Down. Should be Married, even though The Average Marriage Age is getting higher as The Generations go on. It used to be 26.9 and It probably is about 30, Some say 36. But, For Me, that is too late! In Most of The Romantic Comedies that I watch, It is Lame to be single above 30, but perhaps that is More spoken on The Women’s Side than Man’s Side, but, I digress. In My Mind and In The Movies, People would say “Why do You want to be Tied Down, Settled, and Married?! There are so Many Adventures and Dumb Things to try before that!” Well, In My Head, I would believe that The Adventure begins when You get Married. For Me, after I get Married, Me and My Future Wife will go on a Ton of Adventures in My Favorite Thing to do, Travel. Yes, I plan to Travel all over The World, See Places, and Do what I do best, Study the Details of a Country. I have always wanted to ask a Middle Easterner about Their Point of View of The World, Ask a Thai Person why The Buddhists don’t like it if You point your Feet at Someone Else or at Buddha Himself, They are offended. I would love to know Why East Asians eat Dog (Although I’m not sure that I want to know the Answer to that!) , and Of Course, Feel The Excitement of crossing a Border in Europe (via The Schengen Agreement) and Not have to Stop, as I have said before Europe Fascinates Me! I would Love to see all The Pretty Mountains of The Alps in France, Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia, and Germany, Among Many Other Places. I Love to Travel and Research Things! I want to go out and Marvel at The Beauty of The World! This is My Greatest Gift I would ask for because I don’t speak The Love Language of Traditional Gifts. Time to fill me up a Travel Account and see the World!
So, What else makes me Think of Being 30? To be Honest, When I first heard of Someone being 30, It was PTLSer Stacy at The First PTLS Conference. At the Time, without offending Stacy herself, I thought “Man, 30 is Old! You must be Married, Have a Job, and (At least at that time) Have Kids”. In a Way, I still think that of 30 Years Old. You must be Married, Have a Job (like 9 to 5 Job), and Have Kids, or at least Start having Kids. Perhaps that is what My Old-Fashioned-Romantic- Comedy-Watching-Mind is saying that.  I don’t see Myself as being almost 30, I kind of Struggle with it (I guess Grandma Honey was right, “Always Be Prepared!”) because I feel like I am functioning as a 20 Year Old. With PTLS, We tend to function at about half our actual age so With that said, I delete Ten Years from My Actual Age to get My “Functional Age”. So, I guess Strippers and Lots of Beers is NOT going to happen! All in all, What are Your Thought on Turning 30?

Thanks for Reading The Christianville Spirit. Birthdays are Important! Celebrate Each One!

The Christianville Spirit: PTLS Conference 2017

The Christianville Spirit
The Spirit that Makes You Wonder
July 12th, 2017-TCS # 552

Howdy, My Readers! That is how Us Texans say Hello. Welcome Back as well! Now, We are back on a Normal Newsletter Writing Schedule. So, Question here. Where was I? I am sure that There were Some People that are used to My Every Wednesday Writings were wondering. This past Week I went on a “Official PTLS Business” Trip to Houston, The PTLS Capitol, for The PTLS Conference. Yes, It is that time again for The PTLS Conference. This Conference, I have to say, was a PTLS Conference that was unlike any other that We have done and I know, I said that Last Time We had a Conference but, I do mean it! Now, Okay, to Date, We have had 4 Conferences so far held in 2009, 2012, 2015, and This Year, respectively. This Conference was different in many different ways. The First being that My Mom planned it all. Yes, She planned it along with Help by The PTLS Foundation and The Hotel’s Event Planners. Also, There was less People there this time around so It is a little Less Overwhelming, But My Mom was able to plan time for families to have Alone sessions with some of the Doctors, And More time to ask questions. On Top of that, Apparently, The Hotel was doing Final Renovating Construction and They were doing The Escalators while We were there, so It got Loud a few Times from The Construction. So, In a Way, It was Good that We did not have as Many People. The Kids had some Really fun activities, Arts and Crafts and Food! But For me, It was fun to have others who Are older Teens and Adults to talk With. Call It a New Fascination, but It amazes me just how Far People come for The PTLS Conference and Rightfully so! They want to find out about Information about PTLS, that They have either Never Learned before or Want or Need to Hear it again. PTLS Family Members came from The United Kingdom, Therapists from Norway, and Most Fascinating and  Farthest Away, New Zealand. Yes, You read that, Right. A PTLS Family Member came all the way from New Zealand! Last Time it was a Family from Australia! Thank You for Coming, if You are reading this. This Conference was also special because My PTLS “Brother”, Tyler came This Year. He was going to come Last Conference but, Could not. But, that is Okay. I was glad to hang out with Him. It was Tyler and I, plus another PTLSer that was near Our Age, Harry from Kansas. The Only other PTLSer that was nearest to Our Age was McKenna from California. One of The Older Women, Stacy, could not come This Year due to  a Family Emergency. I was a little disappointed about that.
Of Course, We can’t forget to Mention The Number 1 Fan of PTLS, Faith (not to be confused with My Newsletter Number 1 Fan), It felt Very Weird without Faith there, But she watched over us from Heaven. It will Never be The Same. We dedicate The Conference in Her Memory!
But, We did have a Great Conference! This Time, We drove down on The Fourth of July to set up and Met The PTLS Members, as well as a Very Nice PTLS Family Member from Connecticut that We went to a Cool Italian Place with for Dinner (It was a Quaint Restaurant built in a House) and Watched The Fireworks with. It was Pretty Awesome that I got to not only See Fireworks in Another City but, I also got to Watch Them with PTLS Family Members, Laura and Family and more who joined us after dinner! Talk about a Highlight for The Year! Now, Yes, The Fireworks themselves were Okay compared to Chicago or New York respectively, but It did not matter to Me.

The Next Day, My Mom and I greeted PTLS Family Members including Tyler and My PTLS “Little Sister” McKenna, who was as Excited to meet me, as I was to Meet Her. We bonded Instantly! I took a Long Walk with a PTLS Member for The UK and Had a Nice Chat about Everything.
After a while of Greeting, I started to get a little Overwhelmed and SueVa and Marvin (The PTLS Members I went on a Cruise with) asked if I wanted to go get a Late Lunch. I thought that There was a Thai Place down the way from The Hotel. Eventually, after some convincing Tyler and I with SueVa and Marvin went off to find Thai Food. When We found it, It was in a Cafeteria and It was Closed. So, We went to another Cafeteria and Ate There. I actually tried Crunchy Crab Sushi. Yes, Marvin’s “Rare Finds” Zen (Refer to “Cruise of a Lifetime” Newsletter) rubbed off on Me! After that, We walked back to Hotel. That Evening, We had a Packet Pick-up and Reception for Everyone coming in.

On Conference Day, Tyler, Harry, and I helped “Man The Table” and made sure Everything was going okay. We wanted to have McKenna sit with Us, but She went into The Childcare Room for a while to do some arts and crafts. But, She did do Something that I was very proud of Her for. You See, for The Second Time, I actually spoke publicly. Yes, I actually spoke at The Conference. Midway through My Speech, I thought It would be a Good Idea to let My PTLSer Friends speak for a Second. But, I got Harry and McKenna to do it. McKenna was Nice enough to come up and speak for a Minute or two. I am Very Proud of Her and She Spoke Very Clearly. No problems with her speech. During My Talk, I had a Few People in Tears while I finished and I was really honored when Dr. Lupski referenced Me and things I said in My Talk during His Talk.
Then, I went back to The Table to do My Job. It was actually fun to sit there and Hang Out with My PTLS Friends. It was Quiet (Except the occasional Construction Noise), but not too Quiet, It was either too Quiet in The Conference Room or Too Noisy in The Childcare Room (which McKenna learned The Hard Way). Before The Conference Day was Over, Us PTLS Guys had some Male Bonding Time while on Errands to help get ready for The Dinner that We were going to have. We passed The Stadium where The Super Bowl was played and Tyler was Fascinated by it! We stopped and took a few pictures before getting back to The Hotel. After that, We went to The Dinner for All The People from The Conference.

The Next Day was The Break-Out Sessions, This Day, We had McKenna join us in Manning The Table. I will Tell You, McKenna is like a Mini-Me, not in Looks Wise, but The Things that She says. She only got The Diagnosis a Year and a half ago, and She embraces it like She knew She had it Her Whole Life and Truth be told, She did. As She will tell you, “Just treat me like a Normal Person” (Boy, that sounds like Me Because I say that all the Time) and That She was Happy when She was told that She had PTLS, like It was The Biggest Relief. Yes! That is what I Like to Say! By The Way, McKenna also confirms that Yes, Us PTLSers get Very Overwhelming if Their Family takes them to Disney World. YES!! We All agreed to That One!
After a Little bit of Rest on Everyone’s Part. There were Less People than the last conference, which was good, but still Very Overwhelming for Us PTLSers!
That Night, I talked with both McKenna’s Family and The PTLS Members from New Zealand. The Best of Both Worlds! That was when I learned that McKenna’s Grandma likes Geography as well as Her. Best of all though, I feel that It inspired everyone  just watching the two if us talk and laugh. The Next Day, It was The End of The Conference and We drove Home. Many People told Me or My Mom how much it Helped Them. My Mom and I are Humbled by the Nice Things People said about Us. Oh! and Dr. Lupski made sure mention My Newsletter and Make Sure His Picture is in it! So, A shout out to Dr. Lupski! But, The Fun did not stop there, because My Mom and I continued The Fun with McKenna and Family in Fort Worth. All in all, I hope Everyone who came to The Conference learned what They needed and Had a Great Time!

Thanks for Reading The Christianville Spirit. Like I said in My Talk, “Don’t Limit us! There is so much that We can do! Just because We had a Diagnosis, that Not who We are! Treat us like Normal!”

The Christianville Spirit: Include, Not Exclude Rerun

The Christianville Spirit
The Spirit that Makes You Wonder
June 28th, 2017-TCS # 551

Hej, My Readers! That is the Swedish Greeting for “Hello” and For Those of You who are wondering, It does sound like “Hey” only with a Swedish Accent to it. So, The Other Day, My Mom told me that She saw a Gold Newsletter that I wrote a Few Years ago on Her “On This Day” Feed and thought that I should Rerun that Newsletter. Funny Enough, I actually thought of Something that A Friend of Mine said, that made me think of This Newsletter. You See, My Mom’s Former Student and Expat/Repat Friend, Monica had moved back to Dallas a few months ago and Was wanting to have a Meeting of Her Stockholm Expat Friends, some of them that I knew, Met, and Ones that I have not. Anyway, I found that One of My Friends as well as Monica’s Stockholm Expat Friends, Heidi was coming to Town and I had always wanted to meet her. So, I commented to Heidi and She told me that Her, Monica, and Other Expat Friends were going out to Dinner that Night. Long Story Short, I went to Meet Her and The Other Expat Friends. They were all Very Interesting to talk to. One of The Things that We talked about was PTLS, PTLS Family Members, and How Having Special Needs makes us feel. Anyway, I think, Heidi asked me after I mentioned about My Brother, Michael, asking “Does Your Brother Take Good of You?” I answered Yes and Saying “He maybe in Colorado right now, but He has always took Care of Me”. I never got to Finish all the Thoughts about that, That, Yes, My Brother did not just take Care of Me, He did something even better, He made me feel Included in Whatever He was doing. During High School (9th and 10th Grades) and Senior High School (11th and 12th Grades), He would drive me to School, as well as My Mom would drive me from Time to Time. But, I would join him sometimes for Lunch with His Friends. I would join him hanging out with His Friends, Even if They were over At My House. But, Best of All, I felt Included with My Brother. So, This Week, I am going to rerun a Newsletter about Being Included in Things. So, without further a due, This is The Newsletter “Include, Not Exclude”. Enjoy!

This Newsletter was written on June 26th of 2013 (Refer to Newsletter 357)

So, This Past Sunday, My Mom and I went to a really cool party, It was for one of our former neighbor’s Birthday. You See, when we first moved in to the house we live in Now, 16 Years Ago, we had this neighbor that would always say hello to us and Every Monday, at least, she would bring us a Box of Bagels for all of us to eat. We would hear the doorbell ring and it would be her, giving My Mom the box of bagels along with her sweet saying, “To Feed The Children”(She still takes Bagels to work with her and tell them the same thing) or Just to come over and say Hello and see how we were doing. Anyway, It was her 70th Birthday at her daughter, Michelle’s House. We thought that Michelle still lived down the street from our house, but she had moved to a new house that she built in The Country. She did have a nice house though and a big yard. When we came over, I saw that they were throwing a big party, complete with a Pool, Basketball Court (if you wanted to play), and A Huge Adult Size Water Slide. So, We had a small reunion with Our Neighbor and Michelle, and then, I was off to the Water Slide with all the kids. I had forgotten until the night after the party, that the last time I hung out with them, one of children that had been invited as well called me “The R-Word”, but that didn’t cross my mind at The Party. Because The Kids welcomed me, much to my surprise. I had to make sure to take it slow going on Runs down the water slide because I start getting overwhelmed, My Heart beats really fast, and My Vision starts getting blurry. By The Way, The Slide was an Inflatable one and the hardest part (and, most tiring) is climbing up to the top of the slide, to Slide Down. But, I did have a lot of fun playing with kids, one of them, later on liked the way I jumped and then, slid down and I would go all the way to the end if I was on My Belly. Whenever I was done with the slide and ready for the pool, I would hang out with whoever was in the pool. Now, Don’t Get Me Wrong, I am a Social Butterfly, but sometimes because I don’t know a lot of people and I’m not sure how the kids will accept me or not, it feels a little lonely. One Wish I had was that My PTLS “Brother” and Friend, Tyler (who is in town) was there to hang out with, talk to, and he could join us playing on the Water Slide. Even though, I was having fun, I still felt like I didn’t Belong. Many of the kids were asking me if I still go to School and I said that, “I graduated” and then, they follow with, “Do You go to College?”. You Know, when it comes to talking with Kids, The Topics of Driving and College come up and they have this impression that You have to go to College or else you are considered Stupid. I don’t mind this question when it comes to Parents or Adults because they are truly interested or they understand. I am aware that I cannot live in My Own Little PTLS Crew or “Bubble.” But, If I could, I would feel accepted and have plenty of topics in common to discuss that we like. Don’t Get Me Wrong, I love Meeting People and Socializing, but there are times when I wish I had PTLS Friends around My Age to Hang Out with more often. And, We don’t have to do things that are “Age Appropriate” which we often act either less than Our Age and Sometimes, Because we are Smart, over our age. All in all, It was a fun party with a few moments of loneliness.

Thanks for Reading The Christianville Spirit. Include People, Don’t Exclude People.

The Christianville Spirit: My Brother's View on Me-A Christianville Classic

The Christianville Spirit
The Spirit that Makes You Wonder
June 21st, 2017-TCS # 550

Happy MidSummersdag (or Mid-Summer), My Readers! Okay, so Mid-Summer is actually a Swedish Tradition that basically honors The Summer Solstice, The Longest Day of The Year, and To Us, Americans, The First Day of The Season of Summer. Anyway, so After 10 Years of Writing, I see really good Newsletters that come up on “On This Day” Feed on My Facebook Page and Some of them are Really Good, Some of them are Gold, and Others deserve to be Classics. So, I have decided to announce Two Newsletters that will become Classic and One of Them, I am going to showcase This Week. Last Week I mentioned about how I should make the “Why We Have Children” (Refer to Newsletter 273) a Classic. Well, I added it to My “Christianville Classics” List (It is on The Lower Right Corner of My Newsletter Site). So, the New Christianville Classic that I am going to Showcase This Week is The One that showed up on My “On This Day” Feed. I saw it and thought, That should be A Classic! To Explain Why This Newsletter should be a Classic, This will Explain It!
You see, This Newsletter is actually an Entirely Different Point of View. It is actually The View of Myself from My Loving Brother, Michael. PTLS Family Members, They don’t make it be know too much, but They do worry that How The Siblings of PTLSers feel about Being The Sibling of a PTLSer. I am here to tell you, My Brother views me Very Greatly, but You will have to read on to Find Out How! Without further a due, This is The Christianville Classic “My Brother’s View on Me”!

This Newsletter was Originally written on June 2oth of 2012 (Refer to Newsletter 305). Hope that You Enjoy what My Brother has to say!

So, Now that I have written Last Week on My View of My Brother and you enjoyed it. Well, now your really going to enjoy this! It’s the long-awaited Newsletter on how My Brother views me. This idea has been in My Head for a while before I finally decided to do it. My Mom and PTLS Family Members had always wondered about My Brother how My Brother felt about me having Special Needs and Having PTLS (or dup.17p11.2, as it used to be called). The idea came when one of the PTLS Members suggested that I should do a Newsletter on My Brother and his view of it all. I mean, considering that I mention him a lot in My Newsletters, people start to wonder about him and how he deals with it. It took a while at first, getting the nerve to ask him to do this, and even the idea of what questions do I ask? Because first off, I didn’t know what to ask him or even more unnerving, what would he say? So, I sent out a post on Facebook to PTLS Members on what questions they want answered and/or curious about and I got quite a few responses about what they want to know. After reading a couple questions, I thought, “Man, these are deep questions” and “I’m not sure if I really want to know about it or not.” So, then came, “How do I do this? A talk? Dictation to My Mom? or an Interview?” Well, long story short, I asked My Brother about it and he said, “We’ll do an interview” and finally, after a while of asking him (because both he and I kept forgetting or it wasn’t the right time of day,) He sat down to answer the questions. He finished it yesterday and it’s ready to go. First, I want to thank him and let him know I appreciate his honesty and willingness to do this. So, Get Ready Everyone cause here’s the interview. As a note: the Bolded Questions are from the PTLS Family Members and below it are Michael’s Responses. So, as they say in Television and Radio, Roll it!!!!!
TCS: When you were about 10-13 years old, can you tell us as a sibling how you felt when your bother had an aggressive outburst? Did you truly understand what was going on with him?
Michael: For as long as I have known him, which is practically my entire life, he has never had an aggressive outburst. For the most part if he ever got really upset he would get more emotional. He would work himself up and start crying. There would be the occasional times where he would raise his voice but nothing that could ever be put as an aggressive outburst. At that age I had already seen him do things like that before so I wasn’t to worried about it. I just figured that he was more sensitive to things then I was, I never really linked PTLS to his sensitivity. I also figured out by then he was extremely stubborn and if he didn’t want to do something, he would put up quite a fight. Which would also cause him to get upset.

TCS: How did having a sibling with PTLS effect your life both good and things that were difficult?
Michael: Well growing up, nobody knew what PTLS was including myself. I was told that my brother had special needs and I just took that as the literal sense. I never considered him special or different though. I treated him like my bother with no exceptions and restraints. Naturally I picked on him and gave him a hard time. The one thing that I did do growing up was take on the role of big brother. I looked out for him and tried to teach him things. Christian has also taught me a lot growing up with him. I learned from a young age that people in the world see things differently. There’s nothing wrong with looking at the world differently and having a sense of individuality. Everyone goes through highs and lows, it’s how you deal with the situation that makes the difference.

TCS: How do you deal with your peers asking questions about your brother?
Michael: Honestly, when I was younger I can’t really remember to many people asking about him. I think the main reason was that he was always pretty friendly to everyone. No one really could tell just by meeting him that he had special needs. After a while of getting to know him or seeing him then they might ask questions. I’m always proud to tell them what’s up. I just tell them that he has this rare chromosome duplication and he was forth to be diagnosed with it. After that, some people keep questioning and are really interested others just move on to the next order of business, whatever that might be.

TCS: PTLS kids need a lot of attention/ extra help. Were you ever envious of this?
Michael: Nope. If anything when I was younger I found it annoying and frustrating. Not that he was getting more attention then me or anything like that, it was just because I was ready to move on and progress while Christian was still trying to learn.

TCS: As a sibling was there a time say around preteen where you were embarrassed when you were out with the family?
 Michael: Not really.

TCS: What did your mom do to help you understand Christians PTLS?
Michael: I think that the best thing for me was learning patients and acceptance. I was taught that not everyone learns the same way and each person is different. Some people require more training on particular topics. Really that advice goes for everyone and didn’t segregate my brother from other people. It didn’t hurt that my mom likes the medical field and could give me facts and explain information easier to me.

TCS: When did you realize Christian was different?
Michael: I don’t think there was really a point of epiphany where all of a sudden I knew he was different. Living with him and growing up together, you just kind of known as life. Its really the same as getting to know anyone else, you hang out with them enough you learn things about them. All it takes is some powers of observation.

TCS: Growing up, can you give some examples of things you showed him how to do/ taught him?
Michael: Ha ha ha!!! When I was seventeen or so I let Christian drive my car down the neighborhood street. That was exciting to say the least!! I taught him how to play video games and things like that. To recall everything I taught him would take some time. I just try my best to show him and explain to him anything that he has questions about and would like to learn about. His memory is pretty freaky. He can recall all sorts of random stuff. If others put in the effort and energy to teach him, he can learn anything.

TCS: Do you feel any angst or nervousness about being Christian’s guardian later in life?
Michael: I suppose so, it is kind of nerve racking. I’m not stressing out too much though. We get along great and for the most part he is pretty self-reliant. I am confident in my self and my abilities to overcome any obstacle that dares to stand in front of me. Ha ha ha! But for real, I have known about being his guardian for a long time now, so I’m mentally ready.
   -------------------------------------------
So, I hope all of this helped to answer your questions on Siblings and My Brother. It was quite surprising to hear some of these because I didn’t expect it. Well, you know, I guess it’s like they say, “You’ll Never Know Until You Ask”, simple as that. This whole interview turned out to be more fun than I thought it was going to be, but then again, I didn’t know. I mean, you know, how much someone loves you but, sometimes, every now and then, you might be curious as to how much that person loves you. As for me, I know that My Brother loves me and understands me, and I love him so much for that. All in all, I say it a lot, but I’ll say it again, My Brother, Michael, is Awesome!

The Christianville Spirit: Why We Have Dads

The Christianville Spirit
The Spirit that Makes You Wonder
June 14th, 2017-TCS # 549

Oh! A Movie Trailer, My Readers! Let’s Watch! Excuse while I perform in a Movie Voice for a Second. (In Movie Voice) From The Newsletter, That Brought You Many Classics and One Newsletter that should be a Classic..... The Newsletter that brought You The Should-Be Classic Newsletter, “Why We Have Children” (Refer to Newsletter 273; November 2011) and The Christianville Classic, “Why We Have Moms” (Refer to Newsletter 351; May 15th of 2013. Or Over on My Christianville Classic List on The Right)....The Newsletter, I probably should have written a Long Time Ago....Introducing The Newest Newsletter, “Why We Have Dads!” (Back to Normal Voice) Okay, Father’s Day is coming up and I figured that Perhaps Dads need a little Love and Props for Father’s Day. Now, My Own Father was not the Greatest Father Figure to Me, to put it Nicely. However, I know Great Father Figures in My Life, Many that I model after, even though I don’t plan on Father to Children in My Life. Unless You maybe count being a Father Figure to Our Little Puppy, Paco. Anyway, Most of The Time, People (including Myself) celebrate Mother’s Day more over Father’s Day. But, As much I don’t want to believe, Fathers Contribute also to Their Children and Growth of Their Children. Now, I would not call Myself an Expert on Fatherhood, based on My Lack of Father Figure, but, This is what I imagine to be The Reason Why We (Like or not) should be Grateful that We have Dads. So, This is The Reason Why have Dads.
WHY WE HAVE DADS
  1. In The Shortest and Effective Way Possible to Explain. In a Little Health Class Lesson. Your Mom may have Birthed You but, Your Creation had to come from Somewhere. The Sperm from Your Dad
  2. The Sperm from Your Dad is actually, The First Element  (after God) in What Created You. Sometimes giving You a Gift that You would not Imagine coming from.
  3. One Thing that I can Thank My Dad for is, probably The Best Gift of All, My PTLS. He did not have it, It just happened out of Pure Luck (Clearing Throat) Destiny!
  4. Aside from That, They are The People who will Maybe Feed You a little extra of Your Favorite Food (in All Ages. Favorite Baby Food or Favorite Food in General) when Your Mom is not looking. Spoiler here, Folks!
  5. They take you on what would seem the Most Mundane Adventures as a Kid. (like Searching for Something You know where it is.) But, It would be Cooler to Go with Your Dad. It may be Mundane, but It matters!
  6. Now, Everyone has an Opinion about This, but Ya gotta have those “Dad Jokes”, at All Ages. and, Yes, Folks! The Lamer, The Better
  7. They will play endless Games of Baseball with You until Their Hands fall off (Not Literally, Of Course)
  8. They will Hug on You and Love on You, being a Pillow, just like Mom. But, in a Dad-kind-of-Way
  9. If You do something Wrong. Dad will talk to You and Make Sure You never do it again. I learned about The Rule of Taking Off Your Shoes in Someone’s House, because Mr. Jeff (The Nice Guy My Mom was Dating) would get upset if There was Mud on The Floor
  10. If Someone is a Bully or Hateful Person to You. Mom will Protect and Guard. Dad will get out The Gun for Good Measure, He won’t Shoot but, If The Person does it again, Yes He Will!
  11. They give a Pat on The Back and Say that Old-Fashioned Line, “I’m Proud of You Son!” or “I Love My Son” (Reference to The Movie, Lair Lair)
  12. They will talk to You in a Very Guy Way about Things. Guy Talk, Guy Code. The Classy Version of Barney Stinson (Actor: Neil Patrick Harris) from How I Met Your Mother of It All.
  13. When It comes to Dating or Girls, They won’t say “Hey, Check Out My Son, He’s a REALLY Good Catch!”. Dad will just go up to Them and be like “Have You met My Son, He’s Really Handsome”. They will make sure that You treat Women the Right Way.
  14. If You Have Special Needs, He will be in The One in IEP Meetings, Literally Grilling The Teachers to the get The Help that You Need
  15. They will Understand You to The Best of Their Abilities and Pretty Much, Make Your Special Needs like It is was Their Own!
So, Those are My Reasons as to “Why We Have Dads”. All in all, Men deserve a Great Father Figure so, They will become Great Men! and, The World needs Great Men!

Thanks for Reading The Christianville Spirit. The World need More Great Dads. Be a Great Dad!
