Happy Mid-Year, My Readers! It is like Saying “Happy New Year” but, It is in The Middle of The Year! Mid-Year means Two Things. Okay, Three Things. 

The First Thing, of course, Is that We have reached The Point of What I now call “Mid-Year”. Between The Days of June 30th and July 1st, is The Middle of The Year. After Entering 2022, I started getting better Anxiety-Wise. It still Pops It’s Ugly Head from Time to Time, but It is Getting a lot Better now!  

The Second Thing only applies if You or Your Child is still in School, but Overnight, They change into The Next Grade that They will be in. I know a Few People who will become Seniors overnight. Yes, Really. Seniors! Of Course, I know a few Seniors who will be now going to College. That is a Bigger Jump than becoming a Senior. And, Finally, The Third Thing, Only apart 4 Days Two Neighboring Countries have Their National Holidays. Now, One would say that Countries have More than One National Holiday, like The US and Veterans Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, and so on. However, Every Country has One National Holiday that above All Others. 

The Two Neighbouring Friends, The United States and Canada have Their National Holidays within Days of Each Other! July 1st is Canada’s National Holiday, Canada Day and The United States’ National Holiday, The Fourth of July. The Thing about National Holidays that should be Talked about, not Always in a Political Way is about How We celebrate it. Now, Every Countries, It is always Nationalism v. Patriotism Debate on How a National Holiday is celebrated. Some Countries, It is with a Huge Military Parade with Guns blazing; Anthems Playing on Loud Speaker, That is more of Nationalism. In Other Words, You are telling The World that There is No Better Country than Here, Where ever “Here” is! There is Mixture of both like Making Sure that The National Language is spoken during Daylight Hours. I say that because in France, They must speak in French on The Radio between 9 AM and 9 PM. France is a Definitely a Country of Both Nationalism and Patriotism. Which brings me to Talking about Patriotism. Being Patriotic, means to be Proud of The Country that You that Live in. Fireworks in The Air, Having The National Food (In The US, We have Cookouts!), and Of Course, The Country’s Flag is put Everywhere. Now, Is It Okay to be Proud of Your Country? Absolutely! Do You have to Put it in People’s Faces? My Rule is that is long as You do Humbly! The Point here that We should all be Proud to be from Our Country. Speaking to Americans here! Our Country is Awesome (Patriotically Speaking) and We should be Blessed to even be able to be from and live in The United States of America! No, Our Country is not Perfect. No Country is Perfect! But, As Americans, We should come together to Celebrate the Founding of Our Country. Think of It this Way, If We weren’t You Guys in The Northeast would part of The UK and Us down here in Texas could have been either Part of Mexico (or Any of 5 Flags over Texas) and Yes, We could still be part of The Republic of Texas. Anyway, To Help us Come Together, I am going to Rerun a Newsletter about National Holidays and The Fourth of July.

Well, My Readers in The United States, “The USA”, “America”, or whatever you like to call it; Happy 4th of July! For those outside The United States, July 4 is just another day. You See, every country in our lovely World of 246 Countries, we have our own little “Special days” in our own countries. So, for some a simple day like July 1 or October 26 for example, to you in one country is just another day in the week or work week, depending on whether it is part of the work week or not. For the record, July 1 is Canada Day and October 26, which is also My Brother’s Birthday is also, the National Holiday of Austria, respectively. Anyway, each one country in our world of 246 countries have their own day. Of Course, the meaning of the National Holidays are different and some National Holidays are set on an easy day like June 21, because it’s The First day of summer, the Summer Solstice, and The Longest Day of The Year. In Greenland, their National Holiday is on June 21 because it’s the longest day of the year, where (and, I kid you not) it stays light out for 24 Hours and you can say the same the Winter Solstice, it’s dark for 24 Hours. So, June 21 makes sense for a National Holiday in Greenland for that reason and again for the record, they call it “Midsummers Day”, respectively. Also, there are National holidays the we make our own like St. Patrick’s Day, the National Holiday of Ireland on March 17 that we here in The US, Celebrate as well. Now, back to My Country, The United States of America, we have 2 names for today, we call it The 4th of July most often but, it’s technically called Independence Day because it was the day that a document known as The Declaration of Independence was signed and that was what made us, The United States of America and to be free. So, as a result, we celebrate Independence Day with Fireworks, Pomp & Circumstance, Good Music, and Good Food. However, when I was younger, I was scared of Fireworks and they hurt my ears because I had hypersensitive hearing. The fear and hurting of My Ears from Fireworks lasted until I was 10 or 11. All in all, we have our own National Holidays to celebrate, no matter where you live. By The Way, I’d like to wish, My PTLS Sister, Danielle, a very Happy Birthday because she was actually born on The 4th of July.

Happy Summer, My Readers! Yes, Folks! It is Summer! Time for Summer Vacations! And, Of Course, It is Time for The Heat of Texas to come! It is only June here in Plano and It is already hit 100 Degrees Fahrenheit (38 Degrees Celsius) many Times already and It is Only June! Usually, It gets that Hot around July or August. But, Not June! 

Usually, It gets that Hot around July or August. But, Not June! It kinda makes you dream of Places that are a Little Cooler. Isn’t that Weird how In The Winter, You dream of Tropical Beaches and In The Summer, You dream of Mountains where The Temperature is MUCH colder than The Valley below?! I find that Very Strange. Then Again, One Time in 2004, My Dad, My Brother, and I went to Palm Springs, California (Palm Desert, CA to be Precise) for Vacation. One Day after Swimming at The Resort Pool, I looked at The Temperature Monitor in The Car and It said It was as Hot as 122 Degrees! And, Then, When We decided to go up the Palm Springs Skyway to Mount San Jacinto, Where There were Redwood Trees, It was like 86 Degrees up there. It felt Very Refreshing compared to The 110 Degrees on the Valley Floor! 

So, For This Week’s Newsletter, I am going to help You Dream! Not of a Cooler Place but, More about a Place that You feel that Your Heart Belongs, Your Soul Place! Start Dreaming and Enjoy!

Happy Early National Holidays of Canada Day and USA’s Fourth of July, My Readers! A Longer Greeting This Time. It is funny that Two Neighbour’s National Holidays are within Days of Each Other. Yes, It is seems kind of Early, but This is to cover My Bases because I will be taking off The Week of Fourth of July, I actually would have written on The Fourth of July and being that I am a Newsletter away from My 600th Newsletter, It might be a Good Idea to Take off before The Big 600th Newsletter. So, Just to let you know. 

 So, 600 Newsletters! Can You Believe It?! It is Milestone that each time I hit The 100 Series Mark, I can not believe that I have made it that Far. 

That must take a lot of Writing along with All The Times that I have taken off, Subjects Written about, and Life Events happening.  

So, Let’s Celebrate! So, What shall I write about for My Pre-Lead into My 600th Newsletter? hmm...Lots of Choices! I have done some good lead ins. Among them, Here they are, along with References...

Which brings us to Now. So, How do I top This? Well, I am going to Talk about Something that has been Whirling in My Head.  

So, What or Actually Where is “My Soul Place”?  

Heaven, Christians might say. Well, Yeah. But, I mean, a Soul Place on Earth, while You are Living until You go to Heaven at The End of Your Life. Okay, so There is No such Thing or So I thought, until A Friend of Mine visited Hers and Discovered It! Who Knew?! 

 So, A Soul Place as a Word I made up that actually means Something, Defines as a Place You feel like You have been to Before. In Other Words, Not a Place that You have Literally been more than One Time but, A Place where Your Soul feels both like an Odd Sense of Deja Vu, a Supernatural Feeling beyond Rationality, and Most of All, A Place that You feel You just Belong. It is a like The feeling of Being in Love with Your Long-Lost Soulmate, but instead of a Person, It is a Place. Weird, Huh? That is what I thought. You could think of it as The Thing that The HGTV Show House Hunters International is made out of. You know, those times, Where they explain that These Parents move off to Let’s just say, Europe and The Perfectly Independent Adult Children stay back here in The United States. You talk to The TV as if They can hear you saying “Why Would You Do That?!” to which if You knew them, They would say either “Because I fell in Love” or “Because It Make me Happy”, using One or Both of Those Answers.  

Now, The Friend I speaking of, Part of Me seeing what She is doing and wonders The Same Question I would as if watching House Hunters International and Part of Me knows what kind of a Person I am seeing doing this, thinking “The Heart wants what The Heart wants” or in this case, “The Soul wants what The Soul wants”. Now, barring in Mind that My Friend is one that is a “Gypsy Soul”, in Other Words, a Soul that always wants to Wander and Never stay in The Same Place.  

However, My Friend, We will call her, “Gypsy January” for Writing Purposes, She has lived everywhere from Hawaii, The East Coast, and Her Present Home in The Midwest. But, I feel that Her Gypsy Soul has just been wandering Her Whole Life thirsting for Where The Heck It’s Soul Place Is and Finally, I believe It has found it. Now, I have only been Her Friend for a Couple Years, so I did not see her Level of Happiness in either East Coast or Hawaii, but It does not seem like Her Gypsy Soul was Happy in either of Those Places, which leaves her wanting to go to Her Soul Place as soon as Possible. She believes that Her Soul Place is Oregon. It is sort of like The Soulmate Theory, after Meeting Your Soulmate, You wished you would have found them sooner, like Several Days, Months, or Years Sooner. But, Ya Know, Destiny has funny ways of Working Out. That is both Relieving and Frustrating at The Same Time. “It’s in God’s Time” I am told and led to believe. Now, The Problem with that, is that, You hope to God that Your Family lives near Said Soul Place, in which Gypsy January’s does not.  

Now, In Wondering about Mine, it makes me worry because I am a Family Man, I want to live pretty close to My Family like My Mom, Michael, and Smith Family. I mean, What if, Mine is out in Europe like Sweden, Switzerland, or Czechia. That is Very Far from Family! I have noticed in My Woman of My Dreams Projections as to Where They are from, both “Dream Girl”, Carol Holiday (Refer to That Story) and My Woman of My Dreams that I believe is named, Bridgett, both used to live in The Same Area, The Northeast, like New England. Now, I have to consider a lot of Things when thinking about both My Soul Place and Living somewhere in The Future.  

This includes Things like Like-Mindedness (like Politics, Condition and so on), Natural Beauty, Closeness to either of My Three Families, Mom and Michael; Smith Family; and, of Course, PTLS Family Members, and then The Last Thing, Natural Disasters. Morbid, I Know. But, I Think of which one I would not mind living with.  

Choices (at Least in The US) are Hurricanes (South and Southeast US), Tornadoes (Texas, South, and Lower Midwest), Earthquakes (Pacific Northwest/California and near Memphis), and of Course Blizzards (Northeast and Upper Midwest).  

So, There is a lot to Consider. The Nearest I can think of is Maine where My Mom grew up or North Carolina with Mountains one way and Beach the other way. Now, The Last Thing that makes me think and It applies to “Gypsy January” as well is that, Sometimes You are told where You should live or even where Your Soul Place is.  

Funny Thing is that, You never know where Your Soul Place is until You land there or drive there and You fall Head over Heels for that place.  I mean, My Friend did not know that Oregon was Her Soul Place until She stepped outside to seeing The Coastline of Oregon. All in all, Your Soul Place is out there, There is Such a Place as That. In My Friend, “Gypsy January’s” Advice is to Follow Your Heart and Of Course, Follow Your Dreams because, really You never know... That and Follow Your Dreams even if They are a bit Scary and Who Know’s You might Laugh about It in a Few Years if It is True, If It is not, then You’ll still Laugh because You tried.
