The Christianville Spirit: Christian's Best Friends' Festival 2007

The Christianville Spirit
The Spirit of Christianville
In my made up City Of Christianville from now until the 20th of November is what is called Christians’ Best Friends Festival. The Best Friends Festival is a couple in which I honor certain friends with days and events on those days pertaining to that friend. Most of The Best Friends’ Festival in Downtown Christianville on a street called Friends St. (except for one day which is Brooke Day, on Nov. 17 in a city north of Christianville called Brooke.) On the first day of The Best Friends’ Festival which is called Michael Day the festival kicks off with The City of Christianville Band and introducing of the US, Tennessee, and City of Christianville Flag. After The National Anthem is The Presentation of Friends (New and Old) that I had made this year; This Year in particular in 2007 was special because they introduced the doctors for whom My Special Needs was named after, Dr. Potocki and Dr. Lupski. When they were introduced everyone clapped and cheered. One person in the crowd who the broadcaster for one of Christianville’s radio station, 97.9 KMKI heard a mother named Kelly who lives The History District of Christianville says “Dr. Potocki and Dr. Lupski, God Bless You!!” Tomorrow will be a day called Brooke Day in The City of Brooke and on that day is a fair called The Christian Smith and Brooke H. Fair. On Meredith Day which is on Nov. 18 is in Downtown Christianville and it’s about the same fair style only it’s on Friends St. On Whitney Day which is on Nov. 19 and on that day they close off all the streets of Downtown Christianville for people to walk around and see the streets. On the final day named Steven Day which is named for Christianville Best Friend Steven V. has a Tigger Parade to end the festival because Steven really loves Tigger. Also, on that day is a made-up holiday called Steven Day for the same best friend. All in all, The Best Friends’ Festival is whole lot of fun!
Thanks for The Christianville Spirit. Now, loyalty towards Friends

What I’m about to tell you is probably not going to surprise you since we knew something like it would come. My Aunt Kathy’s client in her and my mom’s massage business, asked her about how I was doing and it turns out that Kathy’s client actually knows a reporter on Channel 8(which is the local ABC Station here in Dallas). So, the other day My Mom told me that Kathy’s in going to talk to a reporter named Shelly Slater and see if they wants to do a story on what happened with us in Houston. So, in other words, We COULD be on TV. My Mom and I will update you if anything happens.

Thanks for Reading The Christianville Spirit. I believe we are very blessed.

The Christianville Spirit: The 2 Days of Life Changing(Day 2)

The Christianville Spirit
The Spirit of Christianville
How exciting! And, this is was only The FIRST Day. Now, it’s time for the 2nd day. This one was on Friday, November 2, 2007. The first part of the day was The Presentation of Rick’s Photography at The Baylor College of Medicine and He calls his photography “Positive Exposure“. If you would like more information check out www.positiveexposure.org. It will show you how beautiful, as he says Special Needs kids and adults are. Seeing all the pictures of those kids made me realize that I am not as severe as some the other kids and adults are. After the presentation, Dr. Potocki announced that we were going to have a panel and invited people to stay to ask questions or just watch the panel. When, the panel started I was unsure if I wanted to go up there because I had never done a panel before and I thought we would be standing in front of a Podium and I was kind of nervous and then, I got the nerve to go up there and be a part of it. How we spoke was by a small microphone that we passed around. Well, for each question or discussion I got to voice my opinion. They did talk about something I specialized in and that was how I see people with Special Needs and I told them” I see in the inside not the outside” and I decided to ask the audience who saw people on the inside and I saw a couple hands and after that sympathized with the people that see the same as I do. One person asked about testing of Genetics before their children are born and I said that It was the parents decision whether they wanted it or not. After the panel, they told The Medical Students and Doctors that if they wanted to talk to one of us that they could. And, Guess What? SEVERAL Students came to talk to me and even ask me questions. Many of them where like “You were such an Inspiration to me” and according to My Mom .again, I made people cry because my inspiration was so good Dr. Potocki later on told My Mom and me that we were inspiring to a lot of people and that so many people want to meet us. My Mom was surprised that The Medical Students even came up and talked to me. The Presentation and Panel were BY FAR the biggest change in our life. My Mom realized during the Presentation that she was meant to be raising awareness about it. Rick, the Photographer told us that He did the photography but, didn’t have anyone to TEACH. And THAT was My Mom does best. So, I believe she is meant to teach people about My Special Needs and Special Needs in general. After that, was the photo shoot and He didn’t just take 3 or 4 Pictures of me. He took several pictures of me and other kids as well. Later, near the end of it all we thought of him as the Ty Pennington of Special Photography. (By the way, Ty Pennington is the exciting host ABC’s Extreme Home Makeover) So, that My Friends was the past 2 days. Like I told Dr. Potocki, “It’s amazing how your life can change in 2 Days”. All in all, It’s was awesome.
Thanks for Reading The Christianville Spirit. You have just read possibly the biggest Christianville Spirit of all time!

Readers of the Real World and The Christianville Metro Area, Nothing will prepare you for what I am about to tell you happened to me over 2 DAYS of Thursday and Friday, November 1&2, 2007. Now, I do assure you this is a very awesome thing. What: SOMETHING to do with Potocki-Lubski Syndrome (PTLS) which is what special needs I have When: already said. And, finally, where: Houston, Texas. So, here’s what happened that was so great. It started a couple weeks ago when Dr. Potocki emailed My Mom and said that there was going to be a convention in Houston on the first of November and she was going to be on a panel. When we pulled out of our neighborhood I told my mom “Mom, This trip may change our lives” and she replied with “This trip is going change our lives some way, I don’t know exactly how high of degree” and I said that only because we were meeting with someone from The New York Times I knew what happened to people got their story in The New York Times. Well, anyway when we got down there we met with Diane who was helping organize The Reception for the photographer who going to be taking pictures to be taking pictures of me and other people with my Special Needs. See, this guy named Rick from New York who was a Fashion Photographer one day decided to instead photograph people with Special Needs and he takes pictures of people ranging from Albino to Chromosome 18. Anyway, at the reception My Inspiration made Dr. Potocki cry because I told her something I learned from Church about changes in Seasons and how god takes us through Seasons and I told her, “Dr. Potocki, Today you started a new season”. After the reception, My Mom and I went to dinner with a lady named Amy from The New York Times. We went to this really good Modern American restaurant and the food I had was really good and Amy amazed us because she was looking at us while her fingers where typing on the computer. And, she talked and asked to us about a lot of things and it was good to talk to her about My Special Needs and life with it. And, that was only the first day…..
